@Merlynn1329 ай бұрын
Well,the thing you have to bare in mind is beauty is subjective,not objective. Different people find different things beautiful. Which makes the idea of a "beauty standard" an oxymoron. There is no "standard",there's only what you like personally. That doesn't stop corporations from trying to sell you the idea of a beauty standard to sell their beauty products,but it doesn't change the fact it's stupid at the concept level. So that said,claiming his people's women are "ugly" is just an excuse. He just wants to NTR mind break the queen cause he's a twisted fuck.

Dagda and Unseelie are from Gaelic folklore, but whoever wrote this movie did a terrible job understanding them. The Dagda is from the oldest Irish tales, before the fae split into Seelie and Unseelie, and he would be Seelie regardless (because he isn't malevolent or solitary).
@connorscanlan21679 ай бұрын
And "Seelie" and "Unseelie" are Germanic words, so this would be in the Scots language rather than Scottish Gaelic.
@danielbroome56904 ай бұрын
To be fair, even associating the Dagda with fairy courts in the first place is in and of itself a mistake since he pre-dates fairy folklore as a concept, and even pre-dates the Christianized tales of the Tuatha Dé Danann as human kings/queens with magical abilities, and he originates in some of the very oldest, actual religious stories of Ireland and Wales.

Scandinavian Death Metal videos are also shot with similar settings and technique, but I could still see them sped up and whatever associated music replaced by "Yakkity Sax." Truthfully I kind of like the amateur content of these videos, because real effort sometimes goes into it, as well as an attempt to learn and master a difficult and multidimensional craft. That does not diminish the awkwardness of these, but seeing it in the context of a continuum of artistic growth is kind of awesome. Unless it is a tax shelter for foreign nationals, which pretty much negates the whole "artistic growth" theory. None of this changes the fact that we are listening to the lunatic ravings of an animated marsupial at a crossroads of life choices and consequences. Which is awesome in a standalone fashion.
