Some guy online actually figured out how Mr. X moves about the environment. He doesn't teleport but has super speed when he isn't on screen. Because parts of the level aren't fully rendered when you aren't there he can move through them quickly. He basically on an AI to actively search for you with gun shots and running being his triggers for knowing exactly where on the map you are. The AI before one of those triggers will do a systematic check of rooms you aren't in at high speed. Once he gets to one of the more rendered rooms his normal speed resumes.

I know Im very late, but I call bs. He does teleport. I moved the shelves in the library with the tool and was going back to the secret room to get the gear. He was leaving the main hall and went into the Waiting room on the 2nd floor and I saw this before going into the secret room. When I came back I saw him walking around on the 3rd floor around the east storage room which was still closed so the only way he could have gotten there was through library. So he teleported, no other way to explain this.

It would have been great if after being stabbed throught the chest by Birkin, Mr.X body would later on activate its final form and later on these two would be again in the game and fight in a way. for your chance to get away. Or something like that but eventually having to fight them again individual to not rob the gamer of the experience of taking them on one on one

Tyrant doesn't actually teleport. If he's more then 2 rooms away from you he just moves at 400x speed. This is because only adjacent rooms to the player load in, thus it keeps him from getting stuck on geometry, and lets him cross the map if alerted, without literally appearing in the room with you instantly.

I havent played the game myself but I think it all has to do with the subconcious expectation that Zombies are very slow which was built by the original games. In the original you could easily maneuver around them. At the same time I do agree that he does complain too much given he chose to play Hardcore mode without much knowledge of the game but then, this is a stream, he is doing it for the entretainment.

Tips - even if you can't open a door, touch it - it'll then update the map so you can always see what key/item you may need to open it, or if it is simply locked without an item (usually means you have to open it from the other side). Also, please, please, please delete items with the red-tick on the icon - that means the item has absolutely no purpose any more. Sad seeing someone complain of inventory space while lugging around items that were 100% used >_< Other than that, keep up the great work!

To the people watching this, there's no reason to not use the quickdraw army on zombies, it takes a year to reload but you can quickly kill a zombie by aiming at their heads and holding down the trigger almost every time, it's also useful on W.B. if you have good aim.

In Leon's it really annoyed me that he wasted 12 magnum, at least 8 shotgun and 20+ handguns rounds on X but refused to kill any Lickers. At the very least he could have knee capped a few zombies. Even that death to two Lickers and Mr.X could have been avoided if he had used the Grenade or two Flashbangs he was holding. Personally, knifing downed zombies and actually throwing FB or normal grenades is multiple times more worthwhile then counter hits. He's being very stubborn at the worst times possible and flippant when it makes to sense to waste things. Then again he started on the highest difficulty while even on normal I had a hard time with ammo some times. I had lot's of healing items but since I already knew each area gives you enough ammo to kill every main path enemy. Oddly, I ended up with a lot of knifes in the back half of the game that had no real use. Having said that Claire's final boss encounter took me down to one bullet. Leon B I had tons of ammo at the end but I did save three rocket launcher shots for the his final fight.

@@cherrydragon3120 That's exactly how the game is intended to be played. The only time you wouldn't do that is if you are trying to get a S+ rank or the world record. In speedruns most people just shoot certain zombies in the kneecap till they flinch then run by quick and they'll toss a flashbang at Mr.X to get by him faster or lure out his big right hand lunge punch and pass by him on his left side.

@@parker469a I have to agree, when I started playing I only neutralised zombies in areas where they couldn't bash doors open where I didn't need to make often repeat appearances. And I killed zombies knowing full intent that I had to come back to the same place to collect the item or solve that particular puzzle later. Lickers I have no issue not killing, they aren't even a threat quite frankly and if you played cat and mouse with Mr X wisely then lickers are no threat, its the zombies that give your position away in a conflict. I just found it very frustrating watching him and another streamers getting mauled by zombies in areas where they had to come back too, to only die or hear them complain about it, an not use their damn knives to slice zombies whilst down. if you handled your business in the first place things would be a hell of a lot more pleasant. but I digress.

If you ever have a debate with someone about which campaigns in this game are canon, just remember that at the end of Claire B, when the back of the train sounds like a monster is breaking through it, Claire says she'll go check, and Leon lets her. Everything we know about Leon as a character, says he would never, ever, let Claire do that, he himself would go and not let her put herself into anymore harms way than she already had.

I know this is beyond irrelevant now, being practically 2 years ago, but I'm pretty sure Mr. X's A.I. and placement Is only partially randomized, with the size of the police station, you could go through the whole thing only seeing him once or twice and it wouldn't be weird, that is if he actually walked around the whole thing, Mr. X lingers around the players general area or is always heading toward the players' current position on the map. I noticed this the most prominently when having to do anything in or around the library or at the top where the bell tower is, Mr. X is ALWAYS nearby, meaning you have to try and do everything quickly or else he will eventually creep up on you. Also, he teleports.

Robbie Stanton yeah it’s alittle ridiculous it toke him that long to figure it out. Plus, he didn’t know the other features and importance of the blue herb, it gives status elements he didn’t know on his Leon run! I’m almost done watching his Leon’s playthrough but idk if he learns it for his Claire run.

3:28:47 it's times like these exactly where a good quality headphone comes in clutch. I know max doesn't like wearing them but the game is designed with them in mind with its whole real time binaural audio system. You can physically tell just by the sounds of Mr. X's footsteps as to exactly where he is with a good quality headphone.

After the boss fight he remembered to check his map and pick up the ammo this time! It made me so happy to see his learning progress level up! Hooray for experience! Poor unfortunately Leon got the newbie experience with less ammo

Dude was carrying the spade key and bothered not to use it while being chased by Mr. X, pressure will either make you a fast responder or in Max's case a panic induced mess. This is exactly why Mr. X was a great addition
