It seems kunitsu gami is from the same director of a less known Capcom game named shinsekai into the depths, a sort of sci-fi metroidvania underwater

ExoPrimal's biggest problem was explaining that you have to be higher levels to see most of the content, almost no one knew that and fell off the game thinking it was just 3 game modes over and over. Helldivers 2 just lets you go die if you want letting you know instantly that you are not ready for this, similar gameplay loops totally different reception. Kunitsu and Dogma 2 to me are the most interesting things Capcom has done in a decade.

That's not true at all. You can't play higher difficulties In HellDivers unless you unlock them first.

I hope Max plays a strider/thief class starting out. Even at 30fps, i think that'd alleviate the gripes he has with the combat. Speed and movement options are definitely vocation--specific in DD.

Kunitsu-Gami feels like a game that'll sell poor, but get a cult following of people who will praise it until the ends of time. That crowd will get further amplified if the metacritic rating is lower than expected.
