Max's litterpicking punishment for Luke results in joyriding & CAR CRASH!

As if the embarrassing truth about his personal life becoming public wasn’t bad enough, Luke is forced to suffer further humiliation when Max puts him on litter collecting duty. In his bright orange bib, he’s an easy - and irresistible - target for Bolton, Paul and Amy, but Siobhan’s accusations are the hardest to take. Despite Kim’s protests, Max decides to increase the pressure, but his decision to order Luke to mop the corridors blows up in his face. Luke storms off, grabs his personal file from Kim’s office, and then breaks into Max’s car. He drives around the playground, throwing the pages from his file out of the window (nearly running a furious Max over in the process) and only stops when he crashes into Kim’s garden.

I obviously don’t like max but As a teacher I wish we could get away with enforcing these kinds of punishments, I feel that kids these days do what they want and there’s so little we can actually do now to punish bad behaviour it’s just insane what kids get away with these days

I disagree with you that. I don’t think enforcing punishments will do kids any good. It will just make the kids worst as they were before. I didn’t work on a lot of kids when I was in school.

please leave the profession. Kids have not got more or less rebellious over time. Kids are how they have always been and all of them are different, you can't tar them all with the same brush. Want to know something though? Do you know the "most pleasant" kids? Ie the ones that are generally happiest and become law-abiding citizens? They are from warm, loving backgrounds. They aren't from disciplinarian backgrounds. If you want to ascertain the respect of a child then respect them yourself otherwise they fall into a crippling system of anti-social behaviour.

Thinking back to it, I wouldn't say I was an angel (not that I was particularly "real bad" either) but the times I (at least felt that I) behaved the best were with those who gave me a lot of respect to begin with. Some things I did I got away without actual punishments for but nonetheless would still feel bad about because of how much I looked up to them (and I'm sure many people can say similar).

The last good series in the golden era of Waterloo Road. Series 6 was ok. Series 7 was better. Series 8 the first Scotland series was, maybe I will surprise people, was good. Probably the last good series of Waterloo Road. Series 9 and 10 I was not a big fan off. The new series have not seen yet.
