What’s crazy about this video is that everything Max0r says is technically true. The music actually does use Mongolian Throat Singing, all the story beats he brings up are technically canon, and the game is so well designed that it doesn’t need Ray Tracing, but it made a skin for one of the weapons just to showcase the fact that the developers put it in an already well made game.

I didnt expect a Max0r reaction but Im happy to see it! And yes the videos are very much sensory overload and chaotic but very fun! Also I agree with you guys, sometimes we dont need grand reasons and deep analysis to like something, sometimes things can be over the top and silly, but we can still like them a whole lot!

He said it satirically but he does have a point about most big game companies shoving too many activity's and mechanics into their products. Creating A "master of none" situation, were the game becomes more of a hassle then a fun experience even if its enjoyable at times. Sometimes doing something simple, well, is better then trying to make something complex, that's just okay.

Totally agree on that. There’s too many open world games that try to cover all the bases but end up being mediocre rather than doing 1 or a few things that end up being amazing.

Yeah so many games are designed by committee and directionless pandering to the largest audience and impressing nobody (cough Ubisoft), when a game like DOOM comes around and does one thing extremely well it's a breath of fresh air.

Basically. I don't play most of the new games bc they feel more like a job than an actually fun activity. The only recent games I have that I enjoy playing are DMC5, Doom: Eternal, Hades and Elden Ring. I suck ass in all four, but the gameplay is really fun so I have an actual incentive to stick around and Git Good...

This is basically part of what led to Cyberpunk's botched launch. One of the leads kept wanting to add new ideas rather than focus on production and it wasted a lot of time.

All of Max0rs content is the equivalent of a cocaine induced schizophrenic breakdown, and thats what makes it amazing. This man works 8-10 hours on 30-45 seconds of footage at a time. its why his videos take so long to make. This is literally his 9 to 5 and to think he spends a whole day on less than a fraction of the video is crazy. The effort is insane. I recommend his videos on Bloodborne, Metal Gear Rising Reveangance, Elden Ring, and when youre done with DMC5 he has a DMC5 incorrect summary you can watch.

All Max0r videos are just like this. Very fast paced and hyper over-edited, but reasonably informative (and also pretty funny). I'd definitely say it could be fun checking out some of his other stuff. I think most people know him for his Genshin video, and even though it's really outdated at this point, it's very funny. Some of his other stuff like Elden Ring and Bloodborne are also a great treat.
