Instead of using a baster to prelude your turbo have someone hold the compressor wheel for about 30 seconds on the first startup and then she'll be minty

6.7 + compounds = bent/broken rods. They make too much low-mid rpm torque for the longer stroke in the 6.7 which puts unintended stress on the rods. Poke around on Cummins forum and you'll see several first hand accounts of the aftermath. There's also a few on here. KZbin channel: Hold It Wide Open comes to mind. It might not happen right away, but on a stock bottom end, you're on borrowed time. If you're lucky, you'll only slightly bend a rod which won't cost too much if you catch it in time, maybe a few grand for the rebuild. If not... well, hope you have five figures set aside for a new engine. 6.7s seems to like a bigger single and higher revs. That's why many go this route.

36.xx is the limit of the OE MAP sensor. A boost sensor plumbed into the intake or an aftermarket MAP sensor is the solution. He's probably making at least 40-45psi on good pull with his current setup.

I actually talked them about that. There’s really no place they could have put a site glass that you would be able to see it. I just looked down the filler neck & you can see the coolant at the base of it.

Ram BEAST Projects Glad I could see mine. It helped show the bubbles in coolant when my head gasket went out. I o-ringed and studded the head. Industrial injection 60 HP Over D-Fly injectors and FASS 165 GPH. I am kinda glad the head gasket went out, now my pockets are recovering LOL

Monster RAM It’s a deleted 2012 2500 6.7 Cummins 4x4 6 inch BDS LA Lift running 37’s. 68RFE with 3.73 gears. It’s tuned with H&S Mini Maxx set on the high sulfur tune, or the deleted tune. I was running it on the first power level (Tow Tune which is a 25 hp tune) when my head gasket decided to leak. I still am running it on this tune now and have no issues. I had Miller’s Machine Shop in Oxford PA, magniflux & pressure test the head. Once he said it passed I had him hot tank and o-ring the head. He checked all the valves, seats, and stems. I can’t remember off hand the name of the valve seals he used but they are very high quality and are resistant to high temperatures. Miller’s specializes in all diesels especially the 5.9 - 6.7 Cummins in competition applications. This old guy really knows his stuff and wasn’t bad on the $$$. I only mentioned all that in case You have any problems with yours, it would be better and less expensive than to buy a new head or block.
