I remember when I first discovered you…it was way back when you painted and transferred abundant florals all over a sofa. To this day, I think that is your prettiest project. But coming in second is this refrigerator! Worth every second of the time you painstakingly put into it. Subscribed!:) Truly lovely outcome on the fridge. I've decided to let my five-year-old come out and play this year, I will be 75 this year:) but as a kid, I was never allowed and as an adult, I was too busy. But hey, these days there is YT and Amazon and Google - so I'm just having fun. I love the energy of bright colors and pearlescent pastels and I've always enjoyed doing endless projects and DIY. I'm not an artist but it is amazing what one can do with creative ideas and a love for color. Like you I get giddy about the beauty of colors, jewel tones are my current favorite. I'm in the middle of experimenting with paint, stencils, acrylic paint pens, and all things that shimmer, glitter, and sparkle. I plan to stencil the kitchen door (just finished painting it) can't wait to go wild with multi-media on it. The kitchen cabinets are next, working on a refresh, repainting and adding a classic stencil for a bit more interest than plain cabinets. The backsplash will get a gorgeous Moroccan tile stencil in turquoise tones - I'm really excited about that. I'm testing colors and how-to's, getting excited about ideas on Pinterest ... Accidentally painted my first picture today, it just sort of happened while I tried to work with tiles and stencils (which was a bust:(, but hey, it was fun). Anyway just wanted to say that you are a joy to watch, your enthusiasm is catching and inspirational. Good luck in all of your endeavors!

I'm 59, and back when I started painting furniture nearly 40 years ago, stencils came in layers so that you could add accent colours with each layer. I really love these stencils you've created. Beautiful!❤️

You probably have the most beautiful refrigerator ever. I would love to do that to one of my walls in my bedroom. My mother-in-law back in the seventies would take different contact paper and cut out different figures from each kind and she would kind of do that on her refrigerator, making different designs. There is no cheating in art , use whatever you need to create. Try a projector on flat surfaces to project an image that you can trace,you have a great colour sence let tha guide you . Love the refrigerator. Thank you, great video .

There was a lady, Jan Dressler in the early 90s that made layered stencils. Many of them would produce a Trompe L’oeil designs that were just great. I would see her now and then on the Christopher Lowell show. I’d record his show on my VCR so I could watch when I got home from work. He always had such interesting decorating ideas and guests like Jan. That’s a blast from the past that you’re probably too young to remember. Anyway they were just beautiful and I’m so glad to see the layered stencils are making a comeback for the artistically challenged! Like you, I’d love to be able to freehand. However, you’re a step ahead with your eye for colorcombinations and shading. The fridge looks great!
