He's the most organized man...in the world! John has single-handedly "freed up" more space than technically exists in the known universe and therefore altered the very nature of reality as we know it. All kidding aside, I just love your content sir, and I'm glad you did not give up.

I’m blown away and I’m sure I shed a little tear of joy near the end with the levelling idea! I for one am so glad you’re still with us Jean and designing these projects. Huge man hug sir. Huge.

Totally awesome. I love watching woodworking, just wish I wasn't so stupid when it comes to doing it.
@singhivan3 ай бұрын
@ silverfox, you are NOT stupid. Just get started with the simplest project idea you might have, and as you do small projects, you will get better and better at it. As the saying goes, "practice makes perfect." Start with the simplest of tools and buy as you need only. Don't splurge out unnecessarily. Also, we are gifted with many youtubers out there as well as Jean, who shows us how to do things. We are all learning.......so as I've said......you are definitely not stupid. Hope you get started and good luck. Take care.
@niwty3 ай бұрын
Anyone who’s never tried a thing will feel stupid at seeing someone who’s good at it. Honestly give it a go. Start small, build up your experience and that will build your confidence. You can do an awful lot with a jigsaw, drill, set of chisels and a few other very basic tools. Be patient, practice joints and basic builds like boxes etc with scrap wood or pallets and remember, what some will call mistakes, others will call lessons. Learn from them and you will ALWAYS improve. Good luck to you. I wish you well. Ps. Come back in a year and tell me if I was right.😉

As usual, well thought out and tons of functionality. Well done. I'd probably alter it so I didn't have to unfold the wings to open the doors, for when I just want to grab something out of the toolbox while keeping the unit in its compact state. But that's just a matter of preference. Can't wait to see the workbench build! Already guessing it will have lots of useful tricks to it.

This is a great project! Really love the idea! The only thing I can think to improve(not by much) would be that perhaps the extending tops would be better off sitting on top of the unit when not being used so that the doors could still be opened without having to extend the top up first, but other than that it’s great!!

I had a similar idea for a portable area, but I wanted it to house my vacuum and dust cyclone/bucket. I want to make it tall enough to be used as a outfeed table and also incorporate a few dog holes so that I can use it as a workbench. I think taking your idea and making it wider to accommodate the vacuum with the bucket to the side would work.

Great project today . A storage tip for storing metal tool boxes/cabinet on concrete: metal on concrete can cause the bottom of the metal box to rust over time so either stick a rubber/carpet matt or timber block under the metal box to prevent it rusting out.or even add wheels to the bottom of the mettal box.

Help! 🤪
