I first heard this song back in 2005.I was sitting behind the wheel of my car drunk and still drinking. Shortly after I did lose everything. My family my business and my health. This song stayed in my head. 16 years later I am 12 years sober, I am working again and my children are back in my life. I still cant listen to this song with out bursting into floods of tears. I had to start again. This song saved my life.

This is taking me back to 2008, when I had my first console, the xbox 360 for my birthday. It cam with Burnout Revenge, Spiderman 2 and forza 2 and a 256mb card. I remember this song was in the soundtrack for Burnout, it took me so long to get 100% in that game. This song mixed with the rapid crashes and takedowns you make in the game bring back so much nostalgia. I'm glad this popped up on my Spotify a few days ago...

These came out during that sweet spot between the early 2000s alternative scene........and the late 2000s 'Indie Landfill' period........for me these were the perfect example of getting the balance right.......they fit into the scene without losing that individual edge.

I played all the video games mentioned, but that’s not why I’m here. What’s really crazy about life is that you can hear a song in a snowboarding game as a kid, and then 18 years later, you find you’re living the lyrics at 26. I just got out of jail and I’m Aladdin-level poor right now. I’ve lost everything, but I’m starting all over again. I’m getting back on my feet, and there’s even a girl in another town on the other side of the state I’d like to see next year. And yeah, she’s got a black dress that I’d love to see come off. Anyway, time to apply some pressure boys, wish me luck
