im older but when i was in community college i did a music course and the teacher wanted students to bring a song each day so he could just hear everyone's taste in music and just listen. i brought him this song and the dude starts rocking his head, tapping his hand and foot. Only time the entire semester he ever did that. Then we ended up having beers together a few weeks later as he was part of a group and did a gig at a local pub.

@nickpikup73893 жыл бұрын
They've been around since the 90s, and had already two albums out when they were spotted by a Scottish music producer if I remember well. He saw this exact videoclip on German TV in 2000, and decided to make an international release of a compilation of their best songs, titled "your new favorite band". That's when I discovered them back then, and the title wasn't lying. They were part of the "garage rock revival" of the early 2000s, along with the Vines, the Strokes, etc.

This... I will never forget! The Hives comes from a small old industrial "town". When my brother got married 2002, he had one of the best parties i have ever been to... At the after after Party we where blasting this... with some oldschool hockey players that will be without names... We drank cocktails the northern way, one sip of vodka and one sip of whatever....then you mix it in the mouth!😂 Totally crazy, at 06.00 i went to bed with the bridesmaid.... She lived nearest. We decided to stay friends, and slept together like happy kids... Im still going crazy listening to these guys! Rock the fcuk on!

There are songs in western popular culture that just have to be. No matter what decade. Whether it's Smoke on the water or Smells like teen spirit, they just have to be. Hate to say i told you so is one of those songs. A Classic.
