My expectation for this has dwindled to almost nothing. At this point i think id been happier if Canuck kept it and just kept relasing the games for it. Sure those titles weren't great but they always improved year to year and most importantly...they existed. That's where im at

This game is already leaps and bounds beyond what Canuck ever did. It looks a million times better, and has way better player movement and animations. I would have never supported the game under Canuck, especially after the way he spoke to me after I gave some very valid criticism of his product after HE marketed as a Madden killer. His words, not mine. The game looked ridiculous. The game was full of bugs where it couldn't even execute a simple handoff because the RB would outrun his QB to the handoff exchange point. HB tosses would be fumbled away for the same reason. Pass defense was not a thing. How could it be a Madden killer when it was worse than Madden? He called me all sorts of names and then told me to go make my own game. Well, he was the one that chose to do this, he is the one asking for $30 for that abomination, and he is the one that called it a Madden killer. He brought on the comparison. I am sorry he didn't like the truth.

@@RyanMoody21 Biggest mistake they made was overpromising and then delaying. This has given Madden the time to present possibly 3 new titles (Madden 24, Madden 25, and the NCAA game) in the time they said their game would already be out. I am sure a lot of people moved on. It is eroding confidence that they will deliver the product and what people think of the quality it will be.

The #1 thing I always look at with football games is how the players move. That always seem to be an issue especially with new games. It looks playable tho.

I get people are losing patience but we’ve been expecting a multi million dollar Company to get the one NFL licensed game correct for decades surely I can have patience for a AA company revamping a niche title. Looks solid compared to what they showed a month ago not perfect but there’s definitely things set for a solid foundation for the game.

@@markcomer4133 I may get considered naive for the optimism, but there’s a level of reality to the fact the game has changed hands, under a new engine and I mean biggest thing here is…it’s free to play low risk high potential reward, if it’s not our cup of tea simply just delete it when it comes out. There’s definitely still some A.I things needing ironing out but overall I just want fun gameplay, deep customization and dynasty and franchise mode and not a full blown scripted mess

I feel the exact opposite. His changing standards are what bugs me the most about his videos. This video has a good example. In Madden videos, when a user-controlled player does something really stupid, he's like "Why would the game do this?", but here when a user-controlled player does something stupid, it's "Well, the only reason this play was bad was because the user screwed up".

Just from a business standpoint when would the best time be to release Maximum Football? Do you release alongside the new madden? During spring football? Or do you wait until the coming holiday season? Feels like they missed their window and should wait to release until the holiday season when ppl are tired of maddens bs and are looking for a free alternative to get them hooked and do franchises when their team may or may not suck.

They're saying 2024 but theres no way. You have to compete with madden and ncaa. You kinda put the nail in your own coffin. you can't release in the holiday season because you'll be buried under AAA releases. Cant release in the summer because madden comes mid august and somehow it outsells every game. NCAA is supposed to be launching this summer which im guessing early summer so not to compete with itself. So id say youll probably drop april or may at the latest. Thats the only way youre not standing toe to toe with EA.

They don’t need no where near the downloads to go blow by blow. If one percent of madden players just download this game well that would be around 100 to 200 thousand people it really only needs around at most five hundred thousand to a million downloads to be successful game

This is probably the biggest shot across the bow at Madden. Somebody trying to take them on at their own game, simulation football on the field of play, and trying to do better. As far as I know, no other game has a company behind it like Maximum now does with Modus; even though I question their ability to produce a sports title, since they've never done it before, and to produce a major game, also something they haven't done before. It is because of all of the above that I will ignore the delays and will still absolutely give this game a chance when it finally releases. It doesn't have to be perfect out of the gate, it just has to be at least as good as Madden on the field of play, if not a bit better. I don't care about having the NFL license of the NFLPA. I am a franchise player and generally speaking, after a few years into it, my team is full of randomly generated rookies anyway, and so are most of the other teams in the game. The names of the players don't matter to me. They aren't real. They are just a series of numbers in a program. That player would still be as good if it had the NFL name attached to it, or some randomly generated name.

@@Oregonstateman There is a hardcore contingent of people that have sworn off Madden and are just looking for something else. We just haven't had that game come to fruition yet. There are some that capture a certain element, like arcadey football titles, but that's not what I am looking for, and ultimately, not what people who love football are looking for to replace Madden. If they make a good game, people will spend money on it.

TBH it looks great! I'm assuming those players that aren't making the proper reads have low ratings which is fine in my book; not every player should be elite. Bad players keep the game balanced. Maybe the CB and Safeties make bad reads, maybe the player has low awareness and the RB blows right passed him before he has a chance to react. This game looks awesome and I cant wait for it to release I want a good football gaming experience for once. EA has shit on consumers for years. I'm not excited for another EA made football game. But ESG and Maximum football look promising.

Let’s call it what it’s is. These are insights into the game. They still have something’s to work on (wasted movement is probably number 1). AI needs to be tuned some and overall pace of play should be slowed down. But this game has made some massive strides and looks to be the first real competition to actually field play of Madden since 2k. The complaints we have could have been fixed by now. When the gameplay is playable by all, give it an honest try. And if it’s bad, it’s okay to not play. However, players made real bad mistakes in real life. If they can fix some of the wonky movements, gameplay will smooth out. I for one am excited for this game. You don’t have to agree but I encourage to try out the game when it comes out and let your opinion shape your enjoyment.

My coach teaches are Linebackers to always try to force the runner inside. I see what your saying though about him not automatically pursuing to you but realistically if that LB would go inside than it would be a free +20 yard gain with that CB thats getting blocked by the WR.

This game, I am strongly considering putting it in the "Manti Te'o Category " Fake catfish. The gaming standards and industry are changing almost every year. Gamers want more transparency across the board. The gaming community is willing to pay the higher expected price(s) if the developers provide reasonable communication with us during the development process. Not having a release date on the books after 2 years of sentence fillers, adding a few game clips here and there, staight sucks. You're losing people's attention and interest. The gaming community is some of the smartest people in the community. This game won't hold up once EA college football 25 has dropped.
