Wow that fill was simply incredible and that fretless vibe .... heard it from my phone, can't wait to turn on my monitors. Thank you so much for the theory behind!! Greetings from Argentina

Glad you liked it! I love the fretless tone...this was made just using a very basic synth but I'm always trying to recreate the best parts of a fretless. Quite happy with this one ✨ Greetings from Canada 🌞

If I remember correctly, this is just the stock synth in Studio One called Mai Tai and is a patch I designed on there...

This is great Max - thanks. Do you cover how to make these tones anywhere? What instrument and how to get sustain length, harmonics and slides? Sounds great.
@maxkonyi2 жыл бұрын
Good question - I don't have a video on creating these tones specifically but they were created live on stream here on YT. Maybe I should make a new video on bass tone creation...

The bass synth in this video is Mai Tai - the basic, stock synth from Studio One!

This is so helpful, thanks so much. Which bass vst are you using? A stock plugin/preset or a third party?
@maxkonyi8 ай бұрын
For electric and acoustic basses, I generally use Trillian by Spectrasonics. For synth basses, I use Serum, Omnisphere, or Pigments. Glad you enjoyed it!

Great video, Max! This is how I go about it, though I tend to overdoing the "runs" so it becomes too busy. Less is more in the perfect place, I guess.

Can you make a lesson on musical phrasing for melody and harmony, i always struggle with making a part musically complete in itself. Thank you, I really appreciate your lessons :)
@maxkonyi2 жыл бұрын
Hey Omkar, have you gone through any of my Musical Warp Drive courses? Parts 2 and 3 talk about this topic quite a bit. I could certainly make a YT video about it as well
@omii_2 жыл бұрын
I have completed the course on harmony, i can make chord progressions but i want to make musical/interesting parts The topics i think might help me are question-answer, repetition, ending a phrase, motifs etc My phrases sound like they have no end it sounds like meandering Even when i end a phrase it sounds like it's not complete and i struggle especially making 8 bar phrases I have your melody course but i have not completed it. Hopefully it will help me It's just one of those days when i just can't help myself lol Hopefully I'm not bothering you And soon you'll see me on your discord server challenges :))
@maxkonyi2 жыл бұрын
@@omii_ Ah ok, that's good to know. Yes, there is good material in the melody course that will help you. I will also consider this topic for upcoming videos... Melody is one of the most difficult topics to teach since every 'rule' can be broken and still sound great 😅 Looking forward to hearing your music in the challenges...
