I got this by supporting the project via Kickstarter. The wrench doesn't have the necessary strength to turn nuts. The screwdriver bit's retaining ball bearing fell out after first use. Overall, a delivered Kickstarter project but disappointing for user. Also, for those who has gotten the unit, be careful of clipping the webbing of your fingers when combining the two sides / pieces together. Cheers.

You failed to notice that there is a pocket clip on EACH half. I'm thinking that one of the things this tool is designed to do is eliminate a problem with most multitool pliers: the need for another pair of pliers at the other end of the bolt. Clearly, the makers had in mind that once out of the holder the tool would often be separated into its halves to be used separately or in tandem. When either is not being used, it can be clipped temporarily to a pocket where it would be handier when needed than if it were back in the holster. It would also be more easily secured than in the holster where it would be tedious to snap and unsnap every time. The other half, when not in use, could be clipped to the same pocket or another one. It kind of looks like there is enough room in the holster for an additional rack of 10 or so double-ended bits.
Yeah. I feel like people should be checking out the vids the creator put out.

Im in the 7 thousands for the waiting position and i really hope by the time it gets to me its not exactly like all the videos of people complaining cuz that will really suck and im trying to be positive but come on this is ridiculous!!!

I think the "Super Wrench"-ish tool on a multi-tool is an interesting idea but otherwise it seems like a lot of odd design and ergonomic choices, even allowing for the inline bit driver. Eg only 4 single-ended bits, a full size wood saw but not a full size file on and urban-oriented tool with a wrench, a reamer that doesn't really seem like it'd work as an awl. It kinda feels like the designer was trying to cram stuff in one way or another rather than thinking about the overall product. But maybe I'll be wrong and we'll all be carrying this type of tool in the future!

You may have already noticed it by this point, but there is also a third point where you can insert the bit extender; there's a spot on the pliers half of the tool near the pivot of the knife that lets you use it as an inline driver. I'm looking forward to the review, but I don't yet see any appeal to this tool. If someone needs a multitool and a wrench I think a Leatherman or Swisstool and a Knipex Pliers Wrench would do everything this can but better.

You missed 3 different ways of using the tool as a screwdriver. The bit at the end that allows you to use is as a one handed driver can also turn 90° then the tool is put together that gives you a massive 2 handed 90° tbar driver. I am always curious if anyone needs that much torque or if the bit extender will break before using it like that. Both sides have a way of using it as an inline driver. When separated you can also use it as a 90° driver with the wrench side.

All multitool are cumbersome untill we take it out in the field and learn how to use it and familiarize ourselves its functionality & potentials. Think that's why some people modify their tools so it can be low drag & high usage, making it an item they want to carry & of course "cool" to be seen with while impressing others. It took us approximately a month before we are proficient with our modified multitool now after years of regular use, we just don't think about it when we reach for it. It will be very interesting to see your full reviews on TU with its pros & cons including your thoughts on what can be modified to make it worth its weight. Thus that carrying case, it looks low end - (my first impression ok). It also has a pocket clip..! We can already see you doing some major surgery in making the TU much lighter & functional and using that pocket clip, encouraging you to carry it. Cowabunga mate.!

My gut feeling, for pocket/belt carry,.... is it will work just fine, but with the weight of that thing being over 14 oz......you could carry a Leatherman, SAK, and a Knipex Cobra, and a dedicated knife. Or is it worth it to carry just the Omni wrench part, with your Letherman..... It might be a better bike/pack tool...or to keep in car.

15:41 Yeah, but the fact that you got as far as you did means that the tool is pretty intuitive for anyone familiar with multitools. I'm very impressed. This seems to be an actual MULTI-tool. Not as slick as say a Leatherman Free P2 or P4, but really cool and very useful. I'll be interested in your full review after reading the manual ;-) P.s. I also imagine that future iterations will be more elegant, less clunky. Its still pretty impressive IMO.

I would add that its a multi-tool. It is a "I have the right, or at least something that will work (at least decently) in a pinch, tool for right now. (and I don't mean trying to use a dime to turn a flat-head screw, I mean something that will work for most people.) Many don't have the finger strength to use a dime to tighten or loosen a flathead screw. I'm a great grandmother and those days when I could do this are long gone (My partner and I are great grandmothers). Honestly, I'm not handy, but my partner is, and when she was younger, she could make the dime work.) In any event, a multitool will never match a dedicated, purposely-designed and singular-focused tool for a given task. Given that I'm not handy, I always bought the highest quality tools I could afford and my partner, now of 25+ years, was impressed by my tool set. However, again, I'm not handy and I can use all the help I can get. So, the right tool for the right job is required for me. My partner can make cobbled solutions work, even given that she is a self-taught software engineer/architect by trade, having been a hacker and phone freaker when she was younger. The above is a tool I could use in a pinch. My partner could make this tool work all day, day after day, until she wore it out. In other words, its impressive IMO. .

Kind of alarming that the blade popped open around the 4 minute mark without you noticing, to the point that the back braces of the pliers hit the tip when you were opening them up at 4:50. Really lucky you didn't get bitten! EDIT: Looking at it at 18:20-18:25, I think you broke the tip when the back of the pliers hit it. I agree with your first impression that a tool like this should not have a knife. Just adds weight and danger, when all you get is a crappy, uncomfortable knife.

@@maxlvledc There will always be people who can take a liking to something as long as it technically functions, these are people who believe in pushing boundaries and like unique novel things. Then there people like me who think if it ain't broke don't fix it ,and that just functioning isn't good enough because it has to be user friendly and more practical than novel. The first group thinks we just hate progress and write off anything different as a novelty without giving it a chance. The people like me think in terms of simple practicality, and we know sometimes theres a reason certain things haven't really been tried before. Theres some truth / good to both sides, but theres usually little agreement between both sides. In the end time will tell who was right. Scuffs in black finish. Two Phillips screws rounded out. One flat head screw buggered up. Pocket clip slightly bent. It’s novel and a bit fiddly. I regret purchasing. I have no intention of carrying. I feel lucky I just got something. My guess is inventor has been over spending and it is like going to turn into a pyramid scheme. The last contributors will likely not get their tools. Remember nothing is guaranteed for your contribution. Because of my bad experience this is my first and last contribution.
