Hey I tried this place yesterday. Alright, I have to be honest. I've tried the district 3 one that I think you are referring to, which probably is Hoa Ma on Cong Quynh street. I have to say, I still prefer Hoa Ma. What really set Hoa Ma apart was the pate. Their pate is like wow. I could go there and just order a huge plate of only pate. OK maybe not really but damn that stuff is good. Anyway, this place is still ok, their tables were all full at 7am on a weekday, quite a bustling place. Popular with students and young people, I think.

I'm in Nha Trang City. I miss HCMC and Yes 100% Saigon styles of old world vietnamese foods. Classic foods. Actually I'm from Chicago and I've been eating Vietnamese food traditional prepared by refugees for at least 40 years! And awake quite shameful but the refugees cook better it's due to many reasons the quality of the American grown foods are much better and a cooking procedures and refrigeration is much better.. but it's missing one thing the dirties think of the sewers and the flies sitting outside when it's 38 C 96f LoL please don't clean Vietnam up as they did in DaNang or Quan 7 HCM because .. it's not Vietnam! Vn is not China or Korea. It's Vietnam and south china sea is Vietnam sea!! Not China sea!! Never forget it.

food in south VN is better than North since it is fresh from ocean, river which the north does not have. North no fish, shrimp in ocean, no good fruit since it is cold weather. There is no beach resort in North VN. That why they tried to invade the south with any cost.
