I’d add a small plastic spoon to go with the spice box. Watching your video after a while again. Nice kit.

Good looking set up. Have you thought about adding a GSI Glacier mug? The Stanley pot will nest inside and not add any bulk. That would free up the inside of the pot for more storage. I have added a couple of instant oatmeal packets to my kit as emergency rations.
@TheEmporiumOutdoors

The GSI cup is a great idea but after burning my lips many years ago on titanium mugs I stayed away from single wall drinking vessels. I know you can get the lip protects now but I really like them "little cups" lol. But you are right I should ditch them really. Oatmeal is another fine idea. Back in my military days we had oatmeal blocks you could eat as is or add water with a milk & suger packet to create a porridge. I'd love to get hold of some of those again. Thanks for commenting Mark - I see your channel is growing well!

I love that you actually get out and use your gear. I remember when that Stanley cup was shiny and new. Interested to see how the Toaks in the background there, makes its way into the kit.

A sharp eyed viewer indeed :) The Stanley cup has been great and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a simple cook pot system and at $30 how can you go wrong. The TOAKS will be making an outing soon and perhaps a head to head with a Solo stove? ;)

Michael, for your printed four compartment spice container it looks like it might be a bit tricky to pour out individual amounts easily. Have you thought about adding a thin relatively translucent plastic cover with a narrow opening which would widen as you rotate it around? I have a maxpedition pouch or two and they are quality products. Nice succinct video but I miss Esmeralda!
@TheEmporiumOutdoors

Hi Greg - I agree with you - some easy way to poor the stuff out will be on mark II of the spice holder. It makes sense now I look at it! Esme will be on the next video for sure! Thanks again for some great comments!

I made a kit to have in the vehicle when I take out for a day. Using a Condor H20 pouch. Starting at the bottom of the of the pouch there is a Oilcamp Stainless Steel Space Saver Cup. Then the Stanley Adventure Cook Camp System which fits ( sits ) inside the cup. The tapered sides of the Stanley Camp Cook kit fits inside the cup like it was made for it. Along the outside of the Stanley is a long handled Titanium spoon. Inside the Stanley is the Gen2 Folding Firebox Nano Ultralight Backpacking 3" Stove. On top of the Stanley is a Trangia Alcohol burner so I can cook with either alcohol or wood. The outside pocket of the Condor has a plastic ( Flask shaped ) 8 oz bottle which has the Denatured Alcohol for the Trangia. Next to it is a fero rod for lighting the burner or starting a fire. Folded next to the fero rod is a bandana which can be used if the handles of either pot gets to hot for a bare hand to touch. A few months later I added two canteen pouches one on each side of the Condor H20 pouch. One pouch has a Nalgene canteen in it and the other pouch has a couple dehydrated meals. Thanks to using a wood fire the Stanley has a nice blacken bottom and sides which I think helps it to heat up quicker.

You need a stainless steel water bottle. I have the Guyot Design Backpacker model which fits perfectly inside the empty Stanley pot (its tapered just like the Stanley). Also ditch those plastic cups and add a GSI cup to the top of the bottle. You still have room on top for your bag of soups and spices.

The price is s downside, too. All you need is the bag inside the Maxpedition bag. If you want a bag cooking set, buy the new Pathfinder bottle set. It looks to me like you're just wasting the Maxpedition bag.

Hi James - I take your point and if I was lightweight backpacking the Maxpedition gear would stay at home - way too heavy. It's convenient to put all the things in one place for general use however. I wont buy Pathfinder gear for personal reasons. Thanks for commenting.
