Tuya supply the WiFi chip, and the cloud infrastructure for many manufacturers. They then decide whether to just use the Tuya app or one that is made to look like their own app. But usually you will find they work on both. I think the smart home devices from Lidl, Aldi and Poundland all work on the Tuya platform.

Hi Dave, Is the controller (and remote + app) compatible/interchangeable with other diesel heaters? Do you know if you can acquire anywhere this controller as a stand-alone controller?
@DavidMcLuckie2 жыл бұрын
Yes. You could take that ECU off that heater and put it on any of them. Haven't looked for it as a stand alone part. But it's not the only heater now that uses it. So hopefully they should be out there pretty soon.

Hi David, It looks from your vid that the heater simply drops down to low when it reaches set temp, rather than turns off? Or do you know if there’s an option for it to do so? The reason being is that a 5kw heater is actually too powerful for the internal volume of many vans and unless it’s pretty cold, even the lowest setting makes the van too hot and they need turned off. (Which means that you wake up at 3am when the temperature dips with a cold nose and full bladder and need to turn them on!) Have you seen a setting or mode in the app, that may offer this type of control? Cheers dude, another helpful no pish video 👍

That one just works the same as other heaters and switches to low. The Hcalory one is the only one I've seen turn fully off at a set temperature (other than using an Afterburner).

@deathbyninja112 жыл бұрын
Hi David, I have a couple questions for someone smart (you) with their hands on one of these units with the new controller... 1. Is there advanced settings to modify the fuel maps and tune further? 2. Is there a 2kw fuel map setting in there? 3. If so, could you bolt that controller into a standard chinese 2kw unit? 4. I don't know that you can answer this, but is this controller the same as the new HCALORY BT diesel units?

The problem would be the almost constant updating of the list. I've had so many listings on eBay and Amazon just disappear, or worse especially on Amazon the product completely changes. @sw7932 жыл бұрын
Just as a warning, CO (Carbon monoxide) is deadly poison and it is odorless. It gets produced by incomplete combustion of anything. NOx which is a mixture NO and NO2 you get from diesel but it smells and is less of an acute problem than CO. Nitrous Oxide which is N2O (laughing gas) something different.
