Lol not really, doing things like this by 8th grade was pretty common as my middle school had a drumline that had nothing to do with the band. As someone who played Marching snare for 15 years there's little to no upside unless you get really lucky and become an instructor for a rich area or a college. Professional drumlines you age out at 21 plus you aren't getting paid. The only people who use it to develop income are people that become instructors unfortunately

For those who do not know, this solo bit is from a cadence also known as Jig 2, basically the only quads-focused cadence ever used in high school, and is a meme cadence to a bunch of people (me included). The guy can definitely put in some serious work tho, playing singles that fast can be a bit tough, not to mention his age. Typically Freshman aren't even put on tenors.
