I Turned OFF GRAVITY and they BUILT THIS! - Rust

Every game has rules, what if I could turn them off? When you disable stability in Rust it makes building similar to Fortnite. I decided to let 3 teams of trios, with varying hours, build WITHOUT RULES and once they finish my capable raiding team will try to get the golden egg from those bases, and we'll find out once and for all if gravity helps the builders or the raiders more. Enjoy!
What is Rust? Rust is an INTENSE PVP multiplayer survival game that I've played for THOUSANDS of hours. I've gone on MASSIVE Solo adventures, clan wipes, HUGE raids and just about every experience under the Sun. It's a game that can have the most intense nail biting moments, or you can spend hours doing nothing interesting, The way the cookie crumbles can never be predicted and of course I save the absolute best bits for you guys. Yea I agree seemed really unfair tbh. Especially the raiders have more rockets than they need and can just rocket non stop anywhere. So either let then have the furnaces or give lot less rockets. This giving raiders to many rockets is boring anyways bc anyone can just pumble a base compare to playing smart

It didn't make a difference either way, but I deleted them because the TC isn't accessible if you need to emtpy the furnace, pick them up THEN place the ceiling piece to open the bunker. I stand by my decision, I knew it'd upset people but I'm not gunna lie to you guys and pretend I didn't do it. No one has ever had to move things to open a bunker unless they're about to go offline, and while this video isn't super realistic, I felt like this was hiding the TC a bit too much and ultimately unfair

@@MaxsRusti would agree with you if there wasn’t 8 raiders with 100+ rockets they can blow thru it and they did there was nothing stopping them with that many rockets you make so many rules that are absurd and make the whole experience boring and makes it look like your micro managing especially deleting walls and stuff that the defenders make the whole point is to let then be creative and your killing that it’s boring and very one sided

Sir, great idea both teams are out of their standard game style, it will change not only look at how they look at their game but go about attacking and defending in new ways. What I notice bout Max is he isn't really fair. Why delete the furnaces all bc the defenders are smart?. Especially when thw raiders have have a massive amount of rockets and can just pumble in general. So why not let the defenders have cheeky things. Kinda unfair if you ask me. Always seems to favor thw raiders in every video.

Hey! Great stuff. A week late to this party, but this was an excellent idea for a multitude of reasons. The idea of removing stability opened so many new options and ways of thinking around both offensive and defensive maneuvers and building techniques, all within Rust's own systems. It was interesting to see how much each group was willing to divert away from their normal building techniques and embrace something completely new. Everyone had to think outside the box with this. I haven't played Rust in many years, probably not since 2019 at the latest, since I have a real full-time job and frankly Rust is exactly that; but I keep up with the game as much as I can, and I love content from this game I will probably never play myself ever again. If I had to make a few changes, i'd give groups who have either not played this challenge before, or were unaware of it before going in, significantly more time to build, as well as a grace period at the end of building that allows them to make smaller changes like wires and kit placement. The teams seemed to naively go in with a base design already in mind, and I think the relatively short time limit may have put too much pressure on them to let them think they can afford to abandon a "normal" base and go with something more wacky. If I was in this, and learned I had only an hour to build, i'd probably also go the route of "normal base I already planned, but like 2 walls above the ground" strat too, since a new base "on the fly" would take a lot of time I would not feel I could afford to burn. But that's me personally. Absolutely loving how quick the fortnite offensive strategy overwhelmed the High-hours base on the roof, but the Mid-hours could actually hold it off, if even JUST BARELY. Newbies, of course, got crushed, but I do absolutely love their upbeat attitude throughout. Keep up the great work, I look forward to your future stuff, and REALLY hope to see this particular flavor of challenge make many returns.

I would go about it by building up at height limit, putting all of the turrets on the roof facing inward, and reinforcing the bottom and sides the most. Make it to where the only way they can get on the roof be ladders and helis, and I think that it would be easy to hold. Also, honeycomb pancake layers on the bottom, with the entrance being on the roof, with a snaking door path to the bottom peaks.

I lived the video. It was fun to watch and loved how the raiders had to think whats the best method is. Few suggestions; give a small amount of boom to the defenders. Most 10x is very common to fire rockets back at the raidbase slowing their advance. I would also pick teams where there is an electrician. Its so sad to watch people just not using the turrets. I myself suck at PvP but defended an 8man as a trio by remoting on to turrets/traps :)

Fortnite in Rust lol, I loved it, it was fun but idk I feel this can get out of hand very quickly. If you plan on doing it again as a fun event, I would put serious thought into builder restrictions and let raiders go ham on them. But as a concept, I love it!

one of the low hours (500) said that they started playing 42 days ago, but to get 500 hours, you need to play for 21 days straight, with no eating or sleeping. That means he played 12 hours a day, aka they have no lives.

good rule for ya. Per TC (specifically main tc and external that's connected to the base, not no 1x1 tc) should be given 'x' shotgun traps or traps in general. This should help you and future vids
