Hopefully no crazy issues occur especially since they're built on the 5nm tech! The thermal throttle on the 14' does suck to hear but hopefully after some good use and as time passes, it's not too much of an issue. 💪🏽

Apple’s chips are extremely well-designed, it’s insane that just one of those cores packs more power than the entire 4th gen Intel CPU in my base 2014 MacBook Pro.

Fully agree with your theory on scaling tricks. With such a small and powerful chip they need to balance every single tiny thing on it. I can only imagine how hard it is for Apple engineers

We have to wait and see how much performance difference we get from these new chips. As you said the gpu scaling will be a concern. And yes,I think the 14 inch M2 Max will thermal throttle due its higher power draw and not that big cooling solution. Btw, I always love your explanation on each minute topic that can potentially cause some issue in the future. Honestly,to me you are the most reliable tech youtuber out there.
