They're a small tribe but Guans, 1st inhabitants of Ghana! Just an aside, my grand uncle from my father's side was a Ga from Bortianor. My brother recently told me how he punished relatives conspiring against him, with kpokpoi by mixing some herbal substances & triggering diarrhoea among them. 😂😂😂 He must've been born in the 17thC from my estimation. 🤔 Thanks Lawyer, ive always been fascinated about your storytelling style, it makes history so interesting.

The defeat of Asante in Katamanso was as a result ot the Europeans superior weaponry. That was the first time Congreve rockets (typical types of old bombs) were used here. And that alone placed fear in the Asantes who taught that it was some mystical power descending on them. In fact that caused their loss cos initially, they were winning. The history he narrated are verifiable written history... He can not come and sit in the studio to open books to read hence he did research and only presented it orally that is why the call from the Asante kyeame duly confirmed some of what lawyer Anokye said. There are also archaeological evidence of some of the narrated history of Mr Anokye especially his statement that "all akans were once bono" as archaeological findings point to akan artifacts that were found in the bono area especially Techiman and nearest town in Cote D'Ivoire dating as far back as the 12th/13th century... There has not been any archaeologically found akan artifacts in any of the present akan areas from Nzema to Akyem and to Asante that date back to the 12th century except the Bono zone.

Regarding Akuffo Addo, I thought the government's only power was to raise a stool to paramountcy but not to install any random person. I understand, Gas in the past only had spiritual leaders and started chieftancy only a few centuries ago, meaning they have established stool houses with succession lines.... how then can a president pluck a random person to succeed a stool?....just a humble question, please.

@robertosei8867 for an ethnic group to be under another ethnic group they should have been conquered by the other first. Nowhere in history is it recorded that the Ashantis conquered Ga's. So the Ga's just decided one day that they want to be slaves to the Ashantis? Being allies doesn't mean the other is your slave or captive. Read history of the Gold Coast and the Ashantis by C C REINDOLF, Anglo-Ashanti wars.

You are just spewing ignorance. Don’t you know that the Akwamu defeated the Gas?? And Akwamu was defeated by Akim and Akuapim. Then they were also defeated by the Asantes?? In all, Ga was serving as a tributary state. It was Asante that forged an alliance with them and gave them some autonomy. But even with that they went to support the British in the Nsamankow which also led to the Katamanso.
