Travis is one of the most unorthodox, and loose drummers, yet so tight and always in the pocket. I’ve been drumming longer than he’s been around, and yet he has influenced me immensely. YOB is one of those very rare bands that transcends genre, and could appeal to almost anyone, who has the ears to hear the genius in what they create. YOB can fill me with such energy and emotion that sometimes it’s overwhelming. That, my friends, is what music is meant to be. The Great Cessation did it for me back in late 2009... it blew my fucking mind. Especially the title track, 20 minute long opus!!! But then again, all YOB's albums are flawless.

For me it's either Catharsis or Illusion of Motion. Mainly because of the opening track I usually recommend the latter but Catharsis is still unsurpassed.
