I have this in my R32 GTR and have installed and tuned MaxxEcu for almost 10 years now and never going to choose any other ecu over the Maxx. Outstanding capabilities and it just always works

Have it in my S14, and I am only now having the time to learn it. Seems like it is very user friendly, and packs a good punch compared to the other brands.

Have seen clips of other tuning softwares and Maxxecu is the most friendliest looking for new tuners. Managed to tune my car without much problems. The Help button on top right corner is really helpful also.

If you are building or swap an engine,Maxxecu is really perfect of choice. A premium set comes with long harness,O2 sensor and extra wiring. The price the software and capability really makes this ecu stand up high.

For the limits like oil pressure cut, you can add a vertical axis. (right click on the empty cell on the top left of the grid) So you could set a 3d table with pressure and temp for exemple.

One thing no ecu can beat is the overall flexibility of the maxxecu. Being able to resize and change the axis and adding a 4th to almost any table as well as being able to create math channels or internal outputs that you can use for those axis is something I haven't really seen anywhere else.

I was gonna comment the same thing. I’ve played with a few standalones, motec m1, Holley hp and maxxecu. The maxx seemed to me to be most bang for your buck by a long shot. The race is roughly $1500 US and has built in single channel wideband controller and can handle multiples channels external. It has 8 channel of k type EGT built right in, no need for an amplifier or anything. That’s a big one I haven’t seen any other ECU have period. Then the math channels and the internal inputs or virtual inputs that basically allow you to trigger anything/or alter any tuning parameter you can think of using Boolean (if/and/or/+/-/etc, etc) makes it extremely powerful beyond just how its spec sheet defines it’s ability. That CAN analyzer must be a new update I wasn’t even aware of and that’s pretty mind blowing for advanced users! At that roughly $1500 price point, the race model comes with all those features, fully unlocked (not like motec), and it also includes a full car length flying lead (unterminated) harness and a wideband sensor. So if you can build your own harness you get pretty much everything you need besides say relays and fuse box and any switches. And as Andre noted they are very responsive to users input and have a change log on the site of every update that’s made to the software. I’ve watched countless features added and a few bugs fixed when they pop up. It’s simple to update by the end user to get the most recent software, requiring only a laptop/desktop with internet connection. That’s a tough to beat ECU package for ~$1500 US

Making the boxes in the tables larger helps a lot. It would've been even better if the font got slightly larger to match. Even better would be a few other sizes, but this is a start.

There are some quirks like any brand out there, but it is certainly one we don't hesitate to recommend if it ticks all the boxes for your own requirements and we are very happy with it on this project 😎 - Taz.

We don't use the OBD2 port with the MaxxECU. Like most aftermarket ECUs, a USB cable is all that is required remembering and aftermarket ECU like the MaxxECU is replacing your OEM unit - Taz.

Definitely not the case. An EMU black is 1199 USD. To get a comparable max ecu in terms of I/O and functionality, you’d have to spend a few hundred more.

I love mine. Just have a sport. Support from my dealer is amazing as well. It's the first and only one have ever used. I learned on it. I feel spoiled. It's a superb ecu that continues to get upgraded.

In the comparison of this both ECU's Maxx ECU is definitely the better one. That's also the reason why more and more people use them. As standalone or also as piggyback.

I agree, MaxxECU is my choice and in terms of tuning is easier. 👌
