I was a young woman in the 80s and there was coke everywhere but not for me. I hated the thought of stuffing something up my nose. We also had crank which was like garbage coke and much cheaper. A friend of mine did that and later I met people totally addicted so it was not a nice drug.

You know those games where there's a jar full of jellybeans and if you guess the amount in the jar you win a prize? I want to play that, but guessing how much the coke in Maxine's chicken cost. 😅 Feel like everyone had a blast making this movie, particularly Kevin Bacon. And I watched this Showtime show maybe a decade ago called Roadies. Halsey was in at least 1, but maybe a couple of episodes in that. And I'm pretty sure that's where she met Machine Gun Kelly, cause he was a main character in the show. I bought the MaXXXine poster from the A24 store and got it yesterday. Missed out on buying her green jacket though. 😢

Im pretty sure Ryan Murphy was inspired by this movie. Last time i checked the movie was available on HBO MAX. But in sure there's other sources. I JUST FINISHED WATCHING ALL YOUR VIDS LOL 😭 If you have time, I honestly recommend watching "Alice in Wonderland" if you haven't watched it. If you know squid games, it's like that with a bunch of difficult games and gruesome deaths, but instead on playing on an island they're in the borderland between life and death. It's like inspired by Alice and Wonderland and card games, but for adults because of the deaths!

Maxxxine didn’t hit the mark for me. Like visuals, acting, next step for Maxxxine life. But something is was missing but I’ll be watching again. I know ppl said it was filmed like actual 80s film with the plot jumping but I would say continuity wise from the trilogy this one was missing an element. Also the way the dad popped out like a surprised hamster gave me a laugh.
