Couple that with the game having half of it being ship stuff (which he didnt like in the Ac games he actually played through fully) Also add to that the game being story driven. We all know how much ray does with story games. While I am sad he won't be finishing one of my favorites in the franchise I understand -- Its not for all people (Personally, AC Unity was a slogfest for me.)

R3drose syndicate and black flag are probably tied for me for best. If I look at them at base value I think syndicate has the edge but seeing as how black flag was my introduction to the franchise and I being hooked on spongebob at an early age made me appreciate the shanties more probably earns it points to tie. That and I loved the naval stuff. Once I got good at it I was fighting man of wars 2 v1 in the rain regularly with barely a scratch. I suppose it all boils down to what you fancy.
