Nice project keep us posted, you mentioned before that there's plenty of land for sale , how's the water supply in that area and could you put dig a well?

We dug a well on the bottom of the hill. The water supply gets really low in the dry season at least it did this year. This is one of the worst years ever.

What size is your house going to be? If watched several house builds in the Philippines and are amazed how they use the hollow blocks. Are you running rebar vertically every few blocks and filling them in with concrete? I've seen it done that way and poured solid walls. However you do it I'm sure it will be a beautiful home for you and your wife. Keep up the great videos. Love your content. Love your bamboo building and fence around your garden. I like it better than the fancy houses some expats build. Salamat from Southeast Iowa USA 🇺🇸.

Thanks for the comment. We may use some insulated concrete panels. They have styrofoam in the middle and you concrete both sides. It insulates well compared to traditional Filipino methods. Our house in Iloilo was done the old fashioned way and it’s hard to keep cool. We are building a 22x22 small house in Guimaras. I will have it air conditioned when finished.

I'm curious about your comments in your video about your 14 yo niece who passed away. Your mentioned going from Guimaras to Manduriao through Pavia using your motorcycle. But looking at the map, Guimaras is an island separate from Iloilo, where Manduriao and Pavia are. Also, Pavia and Manduriao don't appear to be near each other. I don't think i misheard what towns (cities, whatever) you said because your provided captions. Did your mean to say different towns because of the confusion or .... Sorry to ask on this post, but you turned off the comments section on that video. At any rate, i like to check maps to get a view of what people really about. Now, with Google street views, i get a better understanding of the stories being told. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks in advance. Btw, my condolences to you and your family for your niece and your dad passing.

We spend time in Guimaras working on our property. We don’t live there. We live in Pavia. The two hospitals are in Santa Barbers and Manduriao.

Those are from next door. Not much I can do about them 😣 We notice that we don’t really hear them as much as time goes by. Thanks!!

I love the sound of roosters crowing. Dogs barking are different. That said, I've never lived with chickens. We visited my husband's cousin, who had a few chickens in his backyard. But the chickens lived about 3 acres away from the house. So, we didn't hear them. Perhaps, I'd feel otherwise if they were within earshot all day. 😂 On the other hand, sometimes my neighbor's dogs barks for what seems like hours- but probably more like minutes, but it's enough to drive me nuts.

@OnlyKindnessMatterAfterAll1 I vote for chickens too. Owners can control their dogs if they want to. 😀
