You sir, are a scholar and a gentleman! I've been scouring the web for enough round shields for my big hat Chaos Dwarf army, and now I'll be set for life! Great stuff 😎👍

Exactly what I was looking for after acquiring a few of the old beastmen for Mordheim. Thanks for sharing.

This was a really nice introduction to seeing through a project and to 3d modelling. Thanks Crow!

Nicely done! Now we just need someone to add some WHQ era style decorative bosses to the file

A chaos star would be dead easy to add, what else would you go for?

@@ScruffyCrow Something fairly generic and universal for different miniatures, skulls would be a good one.

Dude: If you post this on Reddit brace yourself for a shellacking from the Resin Safety Brigade. But unusually in this case they'd be well justified. You shouldn't be handling the uncured resin without gloves. I'm dead lax with my safety protocols in general, but I'd never touch uncured resin straight from the wash with bare skin. If you don't want to glove-up, a pair of tweezers or even a paper towel. The immediate effects of a resin burn can range from negligible to mildly spicy, but it's the long term exposure effect you need to worry about.

I get your point but as far as I can see resin is less toxic than a number of other things people are less excited about such as Acetone and even Milliput. Although you could argue I should use gloves for those too.

@ScruffyCrow It's true there's an absolute ton of FUD about printer resin safety and some of it's way overblown. After doing a bit of hardcore research trying to get a more realistic take on the actual risks for hobbyist level uesrs (rather than industrial users with 8hrs/day exposure), here are the two "credible" risks we hobbyists should pay attention to. 1) Skin Contact - if you get uncured resin on your skin and it's exposed to UV light, the exothermic process of curing can give you a chemical burn. I've experienced this handling uncured resin by fingertips like you do in this video and been rewarded with sharp prickling in the fingertips. If I ever get an actual splash on my skin I immediately wash it off before it can get UV. Touch-wood I've never had worse than this. 2) Gradual Build-up - The toxic elements of either the resin itself or the VOC vapours emitted during curing can exceed the ability of the body to get rid of them. Thus some users report having no problems with unprotected exposure for an initial period of time, after which they start experiencing something like a strong allergic reactionto resin as the buildup in their system reaches a threshold. I never wear a mask when using resin and only glove up if doing something with a high splash risk like draining and cleaning the vat. I don't sit in the room where I have my printers and have long breaks between printing sessions to allow the air to clear. I'm far from a poster boy for the safety brigade, but I've tried to look at the claims realistically and set my own safety protocols accordingly.

3D print, not DIY. Misleading title.

I created the file from scratch, I wouldn't have called it DIY if I'd have just downloaded the files and printed them.
