how can i do for making a bezier on a surface, for example i want to do a rope along a box

The simple answer, and the most simple method, would be just to grab the curve points along the bezier and move them around the object at the distance you want from the object. While you can snap the points position to the object surface, I don’t think you would want to do that for a few reasons though. Primarily, if you’re making a rope you’ll probably be extruding geometry along the bezier curve path (or a nurbs surface), so if the curve is snapped to the object geometry half the diameter of the rope will be inside the other object. I don’t think this would be what you would want though, as the rope would be sitting on top the object it is wrapped around. You probably would also want to see the rope not precisely hugging the contours of the object, as it would be more realistic that there are variations in how the rope forms around the other object. This is a good topic for a new video though. I hope this helps.

I appreciate you sharing that you're not using the same version as the tutorial (it's based on Maya 2019), but the Bezier tool works the same up to the most recent Maya version (which is currently 2023.1). However, I'm not quite sure what you are attempting to do, so I might need more information. You mentioned you want to "convert bezier to convert", so I'm not sure what you're wanting to accomplish. Did you use the Bezier tool to create a curve first? You mentioned ctrl+lmb, which, when using the Bezier tool will break the tangency of the bezier handles, remove the bezier handles, or add bezier handles if there are none. Is that what you are trying to do? If so, make sure the Bezier tool is active, hold down the ctrl key, and then either click the control vertex if you want to remove current tangents, click and drag to make new handles. Important to note though, that the control vertex cannot be selected before holding down the ctrl key and clicking the control vertex.
