I have subscribed just for the "badabim bada-fucking-boom". However, good video, short but with all the infos. It's been almost a year that I have been using Maya, but I have never tried to use advanced settings for the bridge tool since I only use it to 'close holes'. Gonna try creating a rope with that twisty option.

My problem is that I've got a complicated shape. When I try to bridge some of the edges, the bridge comes out twisted, as if the edges had different directions -- but I don't know how to make them have the same direction, so the bridge comes out straight.

That is probably because your normals are pointed in different directions! You can try by changing the +/- option in the little bridge options that pops up when you try to bridge, and if not, you can just extrude an edge and then use the Target Weld Tool to stitch them together. There's different solutions, some a little more fidgety than others.

@@TriggeredUnited Thanks. I tried reversing the normals on one of the faces, but that didn’t work. Curiously it did work when I set both target and source to plus in the bridge options. Thanks Curiously some control curves appeared, when I did this. I deleted them, but maybe I should have tried to figure out what they did

Can't you just press SHIFT RETURN to bridge two edges together?
