@maverickmurphy2 жыл бұрын
Really depends on the shape you want. In my experience if you have simple shapes like this one you can plan ahead and build your geometry accordingly before using the tool. But for more complex shapes it can get harder to plan ahead and you're just gonna have to multi-cut through the boolean mesh.
@tralthamidor2 жыл бұрын
You can easily clean up the mesh with Mesh/Remesh and then Retopologize. 2020 and later I think.
@AcademicPhoenixPlus2 жыл бұрын
This is a good idea! Like the previous comments you can either build it knowing how the edge flow is going to work, or you can remesh it and get some unpredictable results. I'll make a tutorial on it soon. 😊 Thank you for watching!

@@maverickmurphy thanks for the insight! I agree I was recently building a flat bridge on a watch (hard to explain) and I had to use difference Boolean to extrude shapes from it and my mesh ended up very ugly.. luckily it’s not a model that is dependant on clean topology but would be great to know a workaround
@EvzieBoii2 жыл бұрын
@@tralthamidor I tried using the quadrangulate tool as you suggested but some meshes after Boolean differences don’t except the change

Hello mam. Can you make a video upon booleans in version 2018 and also about the circulate components. After making booleans and circulate components i couldn't understand how to take the loops and the mesh is very weird after the smooth mesh. Please read my comment and make a tutorial upon this. Thankyou. I love enjoying your great tips.

Hi, exporting is pretty simple. Select the mesh go to File>export selection. In the pull down menu for Files of Type: DXF_ATF Hope that helps!

Dear master ,this does not give the result. It creates an empty file. After the 2016 version, this method does not work properly.

Don't go through Bath Render, go through Render Sequence. Batch render is now connected to renderfarms. Render Sequence will do the same thing.

The new booleans are just so ridiculously unintuitive. They were rubbish before, but at least it was obvious how they worked. Now you need to take a class in booleans in order to use them, and the new menu. Deleting history does not work properly, so you're left with two intermediate objects in a menu when all you want is a simple union, intersection etc. Why is there not simply a "complete operation" button, or similar. Every tool in Maya works differently, and every time they develop a new one it's a new method, instead of trying to standardize workflow a little. Another massive miss from Autodesk.
