A great sales pitch Maya should start talking about is that if you watch the live cams and have it piped through a surround sound system... you get all the perks of a parrot (the silliness) without the *downsides* (hearing loss, cleanup)! ☺️👍

My friend's parents have an Amazon and yes, he is loud 😅 I think he's close to 30 years old. I used to be able to hold him, but as he's gotten older he has become more bitey and aggressive.

I was bitten by an Ara in the finger many years ago. I was not badly damaged but it was not easy to get him of again. Wasn't really funny. Today I like some security distance. 😊

Maya would make either a really great Kindergarten teacher, or the worst one who just clowns around with kids all day.

Yeah. I had to point out to my sister-in-law that her lovebird pair had eaten huge holes in the gypsum wall behind their cage. She had to give them away.

Parrots, the toddlers with pliers for a face that constantly scream, poop everywhere, and live like that for over half a century.

9:42 Although for most of the Psittaciformes/Parrot-forms (Archetype Of Parrot) are colloquially umbrellaed as being "Parrots", there's one extant genus, with two extant species that are deemed as true Parrots. (Mia)The Congo grey parrot (Psittacus erithacus), and the Timneh grey parrot (Psittacus timneh), this is because their genus name Psittacus is Latin that translates as Parrot. So African grey parrots of the genus Psittacus are Parrots, all the other Parrot-forms are colloquially "parrots". So for example, Mia is of the genus Psittacus (Parrot), of the family: Psittacidae (Related To Psittacus/Parrot) aka Psittacid, of the subfamily: Psittacinae (Parrot-like) aka Psittacine. So Mia is a Psittacid (Belonging To The Parrot Family), Psittacine (Like A Parrot), Psittacus (Parrot).Teka is of the genus Ara (Macaw), of the family: Psittacidae (Related To Psittacus/Parrot) aka Psittacid, of the subfamily: Arinae (Macaw-like) aka Arine. So Teka is a Psittacid (Belonging To The Parrot Family), Arine (Like A Macaw), Ara (Macaw). The word Ara is derived from the Brazilian Tupi language for Macaw.
