“It’s his 21st bro!” I turned 21 in July and played animal crossing all day. My villagers threw me a party and then I had food delivered from doordash. I FaceTimed my friends. That was pretty much it. It wasn’t a huge party and it was still a really fun day. For my sister’s birthday we all got face masks and sat on a zoom spa, since that’s her ideal day. There’s so many things you can do that’ll suit a person while being safe and social distancing.

My 21st bday was in June. My bf and I walked around the shopping district in my town which has a really nice park and and cool shit to look at, even though most of the shops were closed, then walked to the bar district and went to a bar (w/ masks on ofc) with like 3 people there and ordered a few drinks and had tacos. Everyone there was distanced with only a couple people working there. We walked along a lake afterwards then headed to my mom's place to have cake with my fam. It was nice, simple. Like most of my bdays tbh

He couldn’t cancel his 21st birthday? - My brother wasn’t able to visit the guy he’s been talking to for months. This guy is his first real relationship, and it’s the first time he’s ever felt this way about someone, and he can’t travel to Reading (which is about 2 hours away from where we live) to visit him. - My mother’s 23 year old cousin committed suicide. His family couldn’t have a funeral for him. - My sister is pregnant and we might not be able to hold or even see the baby (she’s not due until May, so we’re not sure about that one yet) The point is, everyone is making sacrifices in order to keep people safe. *How spoiled and privileged do you have to be to think the rules don’t apply to you?!*

Schools really need stop opening up so soon in the middle of the pandemic. I don't know how many days of school you are going to have, but I do know what I would do. I would boycott it and say that unless it's online school or they start taking tests, then I'm not going. Then make parents aware and boycott it together, so the school has no choice but to take the time to test. The school has no right to endanger you or your parent's life. They should also tell students who have went to gatherings to stay home as well. This is my opinion, and I hope you and your parent stay safe and healthy. 😔

The crazy thing is, this could have been an opportunity to make AMAZING, collaborative content. They should have had a video series bringing in some fun KZbin engineers (like Simone Giertz or someone) and/or doctors to help design the coolest and safest party ever. They could create all these fun, innovative new things, with VR headsets, droplet visualization, negative pressure, six foot hoop skirts, all kind of stuff--maybe even sexy masks and gloves to resemble a decadent masque party--and invite a small, select group of participants. It would have been really entertaining, full of ridiculous spectacle, and WAY safer. And again, because there's a preparation process, they could stretch it over several videos and not have to do much of the actual creative/work part themselves.

I'm sixteen and can easily understand the importance of staying home. I've barely left my house because having a social life isn't as important as keeping others safe. And these kids have friends that they live with that they can talk to and hang out with, I've been doing fine as an only child with a single parent. In some ways, the people defending them are worse because I feel like the people going to parties understand that they're endangering others, but these like 12-year-olds who follow them see nothing wrong because they don't watch the news or anything, they just see what their favorite creator is doing and believe that they're right.

I really just can’t comprehend how people can be so selfish. They know what they’re doing is putting others at risk and keeping the virus alive yet they continue to party just because they can’t live without it. Sadly the people that downplay the virus are the ones that somehow come out of parties and such healthy and unscathed.

@@kennethmcclain3907 Yeah, I do. Because it’s dangerous and we’re in a pandemic. But comparing protests over police violence where many people were wearing masks to a 21st birthday party where there isn’t a mask is fucking stupid.
