One time I was reading through the reviews for my family's restaurant. One one star review said something like "They eat dogs. Someone needs to shut them down." (My family is Asian) 1. It's illegal to eat dogs. 2. No, we don't eat dogs. What really makes me mad is that commented this on every single family owned restaurant and what did they comment on Panda Express? "Excellent service! Great quality Chinese food!"
@KristiMerrittjesussaves

I am also Asian and I’m pretty mad after reading this, just because you are Asian does not automatically mean you eat dogs, the person who was commenting that was likely a teenager or child trying to be a smartass, still though it’s very offensive

Before visiting a national park, please consider the following: It is going to be hot or cold, depending on where you are. They don’t have AC or heaters for a park that is outside. It is a national park. Do not expect good WiFi if any. The rangers/staff can’t control the animals because they are animals. Don’t get mad if you don’t see a certain animal. They are probably doing something called surviving. Have fun! It’s a national park. Breathe in the air and look at some of the amazing sites around the park.

Some of the parks/accommodations have more amenities than others, but you have to do some basic research and set expectations accordingly. The lodges with nicer amenities are going to cost a premium. And generally, the parks out West are better maintained, probably because they earn more revenue. If you know these things going in, it shouldn't be an issue.

Ok, small story about yellowstone, I went with my family two years ago and at one of the geysers I started to feel severe pain in my stomach. My mom and a ranger after a little web MD'ing thought it might be appendicitis and drove me to the nearest hospital in Cody, WY. TLDR; I got my appendix removed because a ranger went above and beyond, the view and animals there were pretty cool too.

⭐️☆☆☆☆ Took the kids and their great-aunt to Yellowstone national park over the summer. The bears in the holes were weird but the grass was nice. The rangers unfortunately were not helpful in getting my son out of the lake, hence the one star. Also the strict rules on goat racing made the trip less enjoyable.

My aunt was a park ranger and she always had the wildest stories. One guy rented a spot for tent camping, checked in, headed out for the spot... then came back a while later claiming his tent had been stolen. She tried taking a report, but when she asked for the description, he got confused. Turns out, he thought renting the spot meant all the gear would be supplied as well. Umm... Not so much, my man. Also, a ton of people asked when the deer turn into elk. I saw them do it, and it baffles me that the conflation of the two species is so common.

14:06 I atleast understand where this last Yellowstone review is coming from; clearly they don't know what a national park/preserve means. They mentioned having gone hiking a lot and if you're used to the freedom on non-protected trails, and then you're suddenly hit by the strictness of Yellowstone, it'd probably be a shock without the proper context. However it was also within this person's abilities to ask questions or google why it was so strict in the first place, as there's very good reasoning behind it.
