One time I was reading through the reviews for my family's restaurant. One one star review said something like "They eat dogs. Someone needs to shut them down." (My family is Asian) 1. It's illegal to eat dogs. 2. No, we don't eat dogs. What really makes me mad is that commented this on every single family owned restaurant and what did they comment on Panda Express? "Excellent service! Great quality Chinese food!"
@KristiMerrittjesussaves3 жыл бұрын

Before visiting a national park, please consider the following: It is going to be hot or cold, depending on where you are. They don’t have AC or heaters for a park that is outside. It is a national park. Do not expect good WiFi if any. The rangers/staff can’t control the animals because they are animals. Don’t get mad if you don’t see a certain animal. Some of the parks/accommodations have more amenities than others, but you have to do some basic research and set expectations accordingly. The lodges with nicer amenities are going to cost a premium. @@jaypence332 I literally came here to say this... The big island legit gets hundreds of rocks weekly mailed back to the volcano because people who take it come home with the craziest bad luck. It's so common out here on Maui that when I sell jewelry at high end stores people were afraid to buy Larimar (a deep blue volcanic rock gem from Dominican republic) and I had to constantly explain that it's only a problem for people if they are taking off Hawaiian volcanic rocks... not other places rocks.

My aunt was a park ranger and she always had the wildest stories. One guy rented a spot for tent camping, checked in, headed out for the spot... then came back a while later claiming his tent had been stolen. She tried taking a report, but when she asked for the description, he got confused. Turns out, he thought renting the spot meant all the gear would be supplied as well. Umm... Not so much, my man. Also, a ton of people asked when the deer turn into elk. I saw them do it, and it baffles me that the conflation of the two species is so common.

14:06 I atleast understand where this last Yellowstone review is coming from; clearly they don't know what a national park/preserve means. They mentioned having gone hiking a lot and if you're used to the freedom on non-protected trails, and then you're suddenly hit by the strictness of Yellowstone, it'd probably be a shock without the proper context. However it was also within this person's abilities to ask questions or google why it was so strict in the first place, as there's very good reasoning behind it.
