Need to see the cooling solution. All NUCs have cooling that will not sustain full load or summer temps of any serious processor. Internals of this PC use what it looks like a NUC PCB. So the question is - is the cooling as flimsy as the NUCs solution?

Thermal throttling is a concern as is the longevity of the small CPU fan. I've seen three NUCs die within the first two years despite efforts to keep their fans free of dust (which is nearly impossible).

I've had my skull canyon since it came out in 2016, 7 years later it's running fine and I've beat the f out of it in use. Running for days sometimes months at a time. Still runs great

I have had 1 nuc and used 3 different ones at work. They have a serious overheating issue. After 6 months one of them was running hot enough it ruined the label on the ram by cooking it with ambient heat(browned like crispy cooked bacon and dropped off the ram). I opened it up to check if I had to clean it out.

the case needs more and so that the board itself is in the interior on the legs and is 1 centimeter squared from the walls of the case, you also need a fan and metal mesh covers on both sides

Geekom has collaborated with ASUS on several mini PCs (eg AS5, AS6, PN52), and ASUS has now subsumed the NUC empire from Intel. It wouldn't surprise me to see Geekom and ASUS to merge (lest there be competition).

NUC’s have 3 year warranty, and pretty good phone support. ASUS support is pretty bad, along with most of the Taiwanese manufacturers. When you know more than they do, it spells trouble. I still have a ticket open with gigabyte from 3 years ago that they just ghosted.

I bought a IT i9 this week and it has done nothing but crash all the time, and sometimes taking hours to reboot. It's been frozen all day today. Sorry I bought it now as it's totally un-usable.

I'm a laptop fanboy as I love the portability, and I always thought that the NUC PC area was very low powered budget PC's that could barely do anything - but thats a powerhouse in a small box! That's really impressive!!! Could always get a Thunderbolt eGPU and you'll have a full powerful gaming system! Be about the same price as a gaming desktop... but far smaller & portable. Ideal for those still doing lan parties in 2023 (like me!!!). I'm not in the market at the moment, but that unit has me questioning my next upgrade!
