Mayday's 2024 Crokinole Kickstarter Campaign Update Video 6-27-2024

We got our final samples for our 2024 beech and mahogany crokinole boards in and we had to show them to you! We also got in another set of samples from another factory and the results blew us away. Long story short, we are allowing 2024 Kickstarter backers to upgrade to our new ELITE board for just $40 more, limit one per backer. Check out our Kickstarter update for more details.

Please don’t put your logo on the board!!! It really takes away from the beauty of it. Put it on the bottom or the very least the side.

Will the elite boards have the black around the edges? the reddish orange is not great looking on it

This right here...beech with dark ebony or espresso outer ring would sell it. The orange aesthetic out of place imo.

Please put your logo in the trough around the board and not on the board. It will ruin the look of it! Im in on the elite board 👍

At 1:08 the beech board looks like two different shades of wood fused together. Or is this just a lighting reflection? I hope the wood surface is all just one piece.

I am very excited and will definitely upgrade to the elite board, but please change the orange ring color...I really dislike that. A dark ring would be much better. And also please no logo on the board!!

Am I crazy, or does the mahogany look way worse than the pics from the Kickstarter 😅 Is it too late to switch to Beech? 😆

Not crazy. Wood grain looks like plywood. Chinese can make good Taylor or Martin simulated mahogany acoustic guitar knock offs. Looks like they didn't even try with these.

I’m also concerned about the three shades of wood on the cheaper Beech board, I’d like confirmation of whether they really look that way before deciding on the upgrade.

Same for me .... This nice Logo is a No-Go! (on the playing surface) If you should decide, taking it off, I would be happily upgrading my order! The orange red isn't my favourite colour, but then again + for an even better board, guess I'm okay with it 😊

Also, will the case I pledged for with the original board pledge still fit and be appropriate for the Elite board? If I decided to upgrade, I would want the case to still fit properly and be sturdy enough for the extra weight.

The upgraded boards will fit in the existing cases, same overall dimensions. They're high quality and can support the extra 4 lbs. The elite boards will come with screw in metal and rubber pegs. Not wood.

Want to upgrade, agree with the comments on the logo (it's a great logo but detracts from the board). Trying to work out how to safely turn the whole thing into a coffee table when not in use because the upgrade looks so good.

I would build a frame with 4 legs on it to rest the board on (or buy a wood garden table the right size). Then get a round piece of thick glass/acrylic to put over the top. Not something I would do but it should be fairly easy to accomplish.

I ordered a 2-pack in one shipment, (one for me and one for a friend.) Can't we upgrade both tables? On the other hand, indeed the red and the logo take me out, but without logo and with a natural wood color (or brown) background would be perfect.

I'm worried about that logo placement on the play field. It shouldn't be there on an elite model. Put it in the well, and put 2 one across from the other, would be so much better 👍

the big question for me is shipping times, but the second question is are these elite boards better to play on, or just to look at? Can't quite tell from the video

Two suggestions: 1. Please don't place the Logo on the playing surface, or any other inner part! 2. Maybe it's possible (if not too complicated for upgrading the orders), offering the Elite Board not only in orange-red, but in a few more colours to choose from? That would be absolutely fabulous!!!😊

The 20s holders will probably be a little jiggly because the rim is thinner.

Let me also add the comment that the Logo look weird where it is place on the sample. I'd rather have no logo, but if you must have it then please don't put it on the playing surface. Put it somewhere else please! If the logo was somewhere else, then I would upgrade in a flash!
