Have been noticing a large amount of caddis fly larvae in the stomachs of the stocked trout I've been harvesting lately. Been trying to figure out the best ways i can mimic them. My best guess is bottom hopping green trout magnets or powerbait trout worms on 1/64 oz jig head. That and finding a good fly that I can float under a bobber. Either way, I hope that I've just cracked the code for winter trout in my area. It definitely seems to be their favorite. At first I was confused why they seemed to eat so many leaves. But now that I know... I am so excited to give it a go my next time out

Discovered a caddisfly larvae for the first time the other day didn't know what the fuck it was saw it imitating bird poop in its design and nicknamed it the "shit sucker".
