i dont get how to do those combos that u did on the first boss where u keep him in the air for so long. I try to do it but i cant punch quick enough when i land. Maybe its because im on switch version?

You have to land your air attack when you're just barely above the ground. The timing can be pretty tight depending on how high up the enemy is. I find attacking almost immediately after pressing the jump button keeps you low enough to keep the juggle going, but it's easy to mess up.

Enemies feel damage spongey because you need to utilize the status infliction system. You can lower their defense, make them bleed, make them dizzy, etc. The whole gameplay is done with this in mind. Don't criticise the game if you don't know it's basic mechanics.

Or maybe the status infliction system is just poorly explained or implemented? If someone who completes beat-em ups at max difficulty on the regular mentions that there's an issue with the enemies soaking damage, that's probably worth looking into.

@@View619 Well, I also regularly complete beat'em ups on highest difficulty, and I am telling you, the game mechanics are as fine as they can be and are properly explained. Since the release of the first build we've been discussing what to change and update in the game with the devs and no one ever had problems with the status system.

Dizzying enemies just lets you reset them and start another free combo. That doesn't alleviate the damage sponginess, and really, it kinda makes the game worse because you don't even have to think about how to interact with the enemy. Just mindlessly attack them over and over, as long as you end your combo with a move that dizzies them (even bosses are easy to loop this way). It's fine to lower their defense or make them bleed, but those are short debuffs, and they really don't make much difference. Enemies just have a lot of health, and the combat being simple doesn't help. It's not *bad* as it is, it's just not great either.
