Laughed, cried, learned a lot... absolutely loved this podcast. I came here after watching the podcast with Jenette McCurdy and now it's my absolute favourite. The way Whitney talks about being sexually abused in her past & the way she explains how she dealt with it, has left me speechless. As about her manic episode, her addictions to weed and mushrooms. WOW! Admirable! Kudos for her. And to her kid for having such mom!

I have no idea why people have to use the “sh…” word so freely. It is very offensive and definitely NOT “Community Standards”! Even the Jewish Bible says “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth.” The same thing applies to the ‘F” word. I do enjoy your programs except for the profanity! 36 except our programs

This has been my favourite episode to listen to so far. Whitney is so down to earth, self deprecating and really bloody engaging. I could listen to her for hours. I have so much respect for all the work she has done as well. I really loved the vibe between the two of you. It sounded like two friends just having a chat and was so interesting to listen too. I absolutely loved Jonathon’s idea about breaking the ancestral trauma. What a sweetheart. I love him. Excellent episode, much love to you all xx

Thank you Whitney! As an exceptionally fast talker myself, and someone that has spent a ridiculous amount of time living in my own head for 50 years - talking to myself and having conversations out loud, cutting my own self off at times, interrupting myself to change tack to add something for context, continuously….. yeah I really appreciated your style. You talk the exact same way that my brain works. ❤

So glad I have a name for what I have done through most of my life. Fantasy. I was addicted and being a part of a family. To being important. It's odd that I have never had a therapist I have felt open to speaking about personal things with. I have only seen psychiatrists because of my severe depression. I have been accustomed to believing that medicating is the only way to keep me stable. Intellectually I know that is not right, but here I am. Thanks for having Whitney on your podcast, and for you. You have a wonderful insight on how to direct a conversation.

it's all made-up. it's not even a good conversation, science can't even be by science's own definitions. Schroedinger's genetics, more like. You can't even tell me what position and spin an electron have, simultaneously. It's like, if you know the cat is running, you can't tell me where. If you know where the cat is, you can't tell me how (is it running, sleeping, etc.) This means that science cannot even do what it is supposed to do (observe the world and make predictions). It's as if someone, from above, is deciding that you cannot observe the universe. You cannot make good on what you see. And genetics is a conversation that fails again and again to have any meaning. Beyond immediate medical uses (which are monetized to the point where you can see that 99.99999 percent of people aren't even human. Why shouldn't AI be given access to every medical journal), it only serves to confuse people into thinking in some bizarre evolutionary frame of mind. But we exist as consciousnesses, we feel, and we observe things around us that just don't add up. Our own good will fails to overpower this narrative. Environment is the horrible ways people treat themselves, others, and us, with very little good to be spoken of.

This is one of my top favorite episode! it is so fun watching you! i feel like im sitting there and listening to all of you! 😁 There is so much to learn in this new episode! ❤️ One of my favorite part in this episode was about labeling. Im also like that, i like someone who also does that 😂 I agree with you guys about the trauma that associates with "sexual abuse". After watching this, I feel like I can talk about it a little bit since maybe someone else has gone through some uncomfortable situation. Truthfully, I endured years of suffering in quiet about my circumstances. I grew up without my mother by my side, and also im not that close to my father, so this traumatic experiences in my life happened. My three friends' fathers treated me badly, but I said nothing about it. I believe it all happened in my 4th or 5th grade, but I'm positive it was during my elementary school years. The 1st one, when I went to my friend's house, her father patted my b*tt when my friend went to kitchen. The 2nd one, he gave me a kiss on the lips before handing me the borrowed PSP when my friend was in the bathroom. The 3rd one, her father held my hand and i was shocked. I'm unable to escape. My feet went cold. Up until today, no one has been aware of this. I wasn't sure what to do at the time since, if I told anyone, I imagine they would stop letting me play with their children. I'm afraid of losing my friends because I only have 7 of them, and not all of them are free to play with me. I just wanted to share some of my traumatic experiences in my life. Thank you for the new episode MBB Team! its really great and fun 😊

So many nuggets here, I really appreciate Whitney's definition of codependency as being an inability to tolerate the discomfort that comes up in you when you see other's in discomfort. I can't tell you how this rings true to me. As someone recovering from chronic people pleasing and parentification, I am now getting more into the habit of reminding myself every time I feel the need to caretake that they will be fine, i don't have to jump in save people because that self- abandonment. This goes also means getting away from my habits of dating people I feel I have to rescue, another form of self abandonment. The more I understand about codependency, the more I am convinced it is the worst coping tool/ adaptive behaviour we come out with from complex trauma, it is so insidious, destroys ones sense of self, shutters your self esteem, you're literally existing as a husk.

Being diagnosed with C-PTSD, BPD, panic disorder and depression a few months ago after a very druggy midlife crises which I mostly spent in a very interesting relationship with a person with narcissistic traits I can relate to everything you guys discussed. I'm of course HSP, an extraverted introvert, struggled with social anxiety until I discovered MDMA and couldn't stop after the bad side effects and addiction outweighed the therapeutic effect. I died laughing during this episode and am very grateful that I'm not the only oversharing person in the room anymore ;) Fyi: Jonathan is so on point whenever he drops his little pearls of wisdom or asks question to bring the conversation to an even deeper level ... cheers to our Canadian healer!
