He was able to pull that off so smoothly because he's a former purple belt in Brazillian jiu jitsu. Let me put it to you this way, it takes some people 10 years to get a purple belt in brazillian jiu jitsu and as far as hand to hand combat is concerned, is LIGHTYEARS ahead of any military training you could get.

yup! he's trained with renzo, rickson, royler, and a bunch of others im sure, and their cousins, the machados as well. he's had legit jiu jitsu instruction for sure. he talks about it in the joe rogan podcast he was on.
