I really enjoyed this little state park. It was a short hike, so I also went to Haw River the same day. Thanks for sharing.

I just came from there this weekend and you are right. The creek is nearly dried up at this time. I agree. By foot, the trail was lacking a view at the top and the only thing I found of interest was the collapsed cabin. I was trying to find some history on the cabin.

It's a pretty boring area, but their focus is connecting parcels for a river park and not a hiking destination.

I love your videos. Because of your videos, I got back into serious hiking and I joined the Carolina Mountain Club. I have summit 6 peaks at Mount Mitchell, including Mount Gibbes (on 30 Dec 2018). I always loved hiking and you have inspired me to do more. Thanks...

Wow that's awesome to hear. I'm actually releasing a series of 7 videos hiking every trail in the Black Mountains during the next month. I re-summitted everything except Cattail Peak and Gibbs Mountain.

@@bigzach322 I know this is old, but I wonder if they were referring to the one at Hanging Rock.

@@shellyross8283 I personally don't care about it. They spam Facebook and KZbin to get subscribers. They were just adding a comment unrelated to the video to get me to check out their channel without asking directly.
