The police are amazing in Wairoa. Theyre doing a really great job. Mainly because their focus is only on the bad apples, where everywhere else theyre out fining every person they can fine. Much respect to the Wairoa police.

..Problem then is that the next time you want to wear a red cap, or a blue tee-shirt, you can get arrested!.. In Wairoa, gangs identify with the two rival tribal groups in the area. - which have been at war with each other for centuries..- third-world cultures, third-world outcomes..The first action would be to stop paying helpless young Maori women having taxpayer-funded children .

Yep, need a few mercenaries to come in and help. Too big a problem to solve by ourselves as i don’t think the gangs will care less about the patch ban, not in the small towns like Wairoa. Good luck to the police I say. I believe it’s worth a try though.

Don't recall gangs clearing out the CBD in Wanganui. When it is acknowledged 80 to 90% of gang members were in state care and often abused, the problem is so much more complex. Banning patches? Why not address where it starts? Because your voters love the idea of banning patches, that worked so well in Australia. It also distracts the public from all the other talk and no action a year in.

Why does Micheal want to know about the white kids? In such an isolated community, ethnicity doesn't impact much. They're the same as other children in the wairoa District, some people choose to send their kids to places that are higher than decile 1 some don't have the money or means to. Others will just choose to send their kids to wairoa college bc that's where they went, pakeha included.

I look at it like this , who is Craig little? My family are born and bred in wairoa not a single person in my family knows him and nobody went to school with him not 1 aunty ,uncle , koro or nan . Im not saying he's a bad mayor in fact I think he is 1 of the better mayors we have had however this is a foreigner(people not from wairoa) who gets whinged at about gangs from other foreigners. Imo is this gangs arent going anywhere they will only adapt to the new laws and you will end up not knowing who is who this probably is going to lead to more violence in my town as gang members won't be able to identify other gang members from a distance meaning they are going to end up in each others faces alot more not because they are trying to but because they won't know they are in the midst of the opposition gang until they are at it with each other. In my town I know these gangs avoid each other when they are not in a group and on there own . Now that's gone ,well done national you probably unintentionally just made things way worse for towns like wairoa .

Craig little family have been in Wairoa for years, his parents were lovely people who had a farm in ohuka. From memory I'm sure his parents were Allan and patsey and Craig has a sister called Amanda who's married to Tiny that worked for the power board for many years and lived in frasertown.
