Mayor slams protests over NYC homeless shelters

Mayor Eric Adams took aim at people protesting homeless shelters for single adult men Monday morning.

People protest because these shelters (and permanent supportive housing) bring nuisance (drug use and bonfires) and crime (fights and shoplifting) to the surrounding neighborhood. It's not WHO the people are, it's WHAT they're doing there!!!!

There is no reason why a person is homeless. They just don't want to work. They complain and complain and eventually get their way with the city taking cared of them. Who is paying for it? I guess the people who work hard and pay taxes to cover these lazy bums. Instead of convincing them to work, you are hurting them and hurting their future. They would never grow out of this. They will drag this city and country down.
