you should try baking your whole face then right after spray your entire face with ice cold water then let it dry for a few minutes with a fan. it's like the so-called jamsu technique but simpler and easier to do! basically it will eliminate the powdery look on your face but not only that, it will keep your face matte longer because the powder is sealed in on your face. i've tried this a couple times only since i dont really wear makeup very often but it really does work! no need for overpriced water!

I use water as a kinda primer water instead of a finishing spray I find it just really refreshes and revitalises your skin and prevents breakouts because when your skin is wet or has some forms of liquid applied it tricks your skin into thinking it cannot make anymore oil meaning you will prevent some breakouts but NOT ALL!! Hopefully this gives you a few tips!!

I've used rosewater from the Hispanic food section of my grocery store as a setting spray for over a year now and I love it. It works the same as any setting spray and has a natural rosey smell. If you like the smell of roses, I'd recommend it over plain water if it's just the smell you miss.

I mist my face with distilled water and it work just fine. I stopped using setting sprays because I wasn't sure what i'd have an allergic reaction too. But I love using water instead of setting sprays. Also, water keeps your face hydrated and mkup does not look cakey/dry at the end of the workday.

Setting sprays are definitely overpriced. But I will say they have 1 thing above just plain water: electrolytes. Most setting sprays have some form of electrolytes in them. Spraying just water on your face can actually be super drying, because it evaporates and leaves the skin. Things like lipids and electrolytes help your skin hold onto the water, and therefore, don't dry your skin. But those supplements def aren't worth 34 dollars. The printing on the bottle probably costs more.

I ran out of my setting spray and I "made" my own Because I was thinking the same thing. "why pay for water when I have water at home" I used water from a water bottle because the one from the sink has chemicals, a primer, and a moisturizer. I added them together into my old setting spray container and it works great and also lasts all day! the primer sets my makeup/primes, the moisturizer makes my skin moisturized. I use it to prime/set my makeup! I love it!

Once i tried to make my own sitting spray and it works amazingly amazing! I added half of the bottle filtered water the other half rose water one tea glycerin which is a natural oil that is able to melt in the water and lastly i add aloe vera jell (( but its optional )) then shake it well. I think u all should try it!!!!
