I would love to see you review a Kirby. You can get them second hand on Ebay (at least in the US) at very good prices. I would give you mine, however, the price to ship would be insane as it is mostly metal. They are good cleaners but I love my SEBO.

I hate to say it but I almost killed my Dyson, always has problems and I went to Goodwill and bought a vacuum cleaner, but is called Caddy Vac 3700 almost new. That sounds very smooth, this sounds like an old car, but seriously clean tremendous. The price was $ 5.00 dlls so I'm happy with my new Caddy Vac vacuum.

Fantastic video! I've been looking for a Caddy Vac video forever. These take type Z Hoover bags in the USA, just in case you want to order some. Your Maytag sounds much different than the American Hoover. It's quiet compared to the Elites I've used! Maybe the 220v changes the hum of the motor?

If you are feeling up to the task, I have heard that there are some 20-blade fans for these old Hoover Elite style models that can be a replacement for the original fan, but the one bad thing about those fans are that they tend to break if you suck up something like a coin or a nice sized pebble. For all that stuff though, it might be a bit of fun to someone who likes to take them apart and learn more about the machine. What do you think?

Maytag actually owned hoover in those years.

Sounds and looks like my America made Hoover PowerMax 2 except the tools are stored in a plastic case on the handle .

I had a Hoover runabout in the mid nineties that had a hose that connected at the side like that. I don't know if it was a dirty fan machine or not. Wasn't very good.

I'm guessing Maytag made the US Hoovers for the UK in the 90's?
@ibaisaic9 жыл бұрын
+RyanSellman1 No, I believe this would have been made by Hoover in the USA and branded Maytag for the UK Market. This model dates from the late 90s or early 2000s I think.

ibaisaic Pretty cool. Nowadays Maytag vacuums are made by Tacony. Essentially they're just like the Riccar and Simplicity.
