I’ve always been very fond of british vacuums, especially the Hoover Turbopower.

We used to have a Hoover Dustmanager with a release pedal that stopped working fairly quickly, and the height adjuster was in 2 parts which didn't connect with each other as the bottom part was too short to fit inside the top part! This meant we had to turn it upside down and move the adjuster from underneath!

Hey Roger great video you made there. If you are interested in the agitation of this vacuum you should look up Riccar/Simplicity as there are many demonstrations on KZbin of how aggressive the agitators are. Can't wait for the videos you say are upcoming. Keep up the good work with the videos.

Did you replace the belt on yours? I changed mine and it seems even more aggressive now. The original one was so stretched from being in the box all them years.

No, I haven't replaced the belt yet. It seems aggressive enough for me, but I may change it soon.

Roger, did you take advantage of this promotion? "The UK part of Hoover was to help Maytag expand into Europe. Hoover UK was not doing well financially and offered customers a round-trip ticket anywhere if they purchased a vacuum. This campaign cost the corporation $50 million to settle. Subsequently Maytag sold off Hoover UK. This was a huge setback for the amount of cash Maytag had in hand and thus started the downward spiral financially".

The free flight flights promotion was a marketing disaster for Hoover. There's a documentary about it on my channel and I have a lot more footage about it that I haven't uploaded yet. Although I did purchase a vacuum or two during the promotion, I never bothered to claim any free flights.

I read it was pretty bad. I can't imagine them making much money by offering someone a free roundtrip ticket anywhere if they buy a vacuum. Sounds like a dream to me.
