ah good old bearings I had Maytag go bad front loader .. a sock got in between the drum area and outer area ( around where the rubber gasket is on side washer in the drum about area of door hinge ) so stopped from turning i heard loud squeaking noise went to inspect shut washer down sock was jammed in there waited awhile after taking out load clothes and drum was loose and made awful sound was Maytag epic z front loader since age of machine i purchased new washer . the sock was a standard size adult sock .

Hi Hameed , How long have you ben repairing Appliances and are you located in Canada ? I am very Mechanically inclined and would love to learn Appliance repair but no one in my area is willing to take on entry level Training !!!!!! I repair lawn mower as a side gig and want to do Appliance repair ...but my only thing is learning to disassemble a Washer or Dryer i have never seen...!!!! What is best way to enter this Business and want to do this part time and where do i get parts ? Is there a way i can work with you and you can help me like on a virtual Service call then we could agree on a service fee i could pay you ? just a crazy idea i had !!! Keep up the great work !!!

Hi i have this exact washer and I was wondering if you could help me troubleshoot. Recently my washer has started to vibrate a lot more than usual during the spin. I have since levelled it properly using a bubble level and tightened the nuts on the legs. I have also replaced all 4 shocks which i thought would have fixed the issue because they were leaking and very easy to compress. The new shocks helped a bit but the machine is still vibrating more than it used to and sometimes depending on the load, it 'walks' a little. I have done the spider arm test and everything looks good. I doesnt seem like there is any wobbling or extra play with the drum. Without clothes in it, the machine spins totally smooth and no extra vibrations. What else am i missing that could cause this sudden unbalance with loads?

Maybe it has weak drain pump which does not pump out the water on time . worse case crack in flange you can only tell if its the problem by opening the unit apart if you don't have enough experience.
