Super helpful in replacing the pump in this exact model. I bought it in 1993 and this is the first pump and belt set I've needed. I went with the OEM replacements, figuring that the first set got me 30 years, and if the next gets me another 30, I bet it won't be me caring about it at that point. Initially I was a bit light on the tightening of the clamps on the new pump to make sure they weren't over-tight, and they leaked. A bit more hand tightening, and things are nice and dry now.

This is my exact washer. It's got to be over 30 years old and don't want to replace it. Just found the pump for $40 online so this will be a cheap fix. Thanks!!

I love my old washing machine because I can fix it. People say I am cheap but for me it is a matter of laziness. It is easier for me to fix my old one then to carry it up the stairs to throw it away. Not to mention the cost savings.

Thanks for this wonderful video. I was sure I was going to need a new pump, but with the help of the video, I took things apart to the point that I found a sock stuck in the outlet right at the bottom of the tub, just before the hose the leads to the pump. Sock out, put things back together - working great. Thanks again.

Great demonstration! The only problem I had was whoever built my washer made the hose clamps very hard to get to. But if this washer ever needs another drain pump, those clamps will be a snap to reach!

if my boss ever saw me lean back a washer on a window blinds like this i would be done .... Fired ASAP ... no more paycheck... customers would take pictures so fast. and tell me to leave now... wow... i have a cart with wheels on it to lean back washers...
