CHAIN MAIL WEAVE END GRAIN CUTTING BOARD

Welcome back to my KZbin channel, in this week's video I made a cutting board with a chain mail weave motif, made from 4 hard woods, namely, rosewood, teak wood, hard maple and jackfruit wood, in this video I also show a little plan for making it, for In finishing I use natural oil that is safe for food, I hope you are entertained and I hope this video tutorial can be useful for many people, thank you for watching

why did you glue end-grain to edge-grain as this will cause the board to warp over time, any thoughts?

i would like to get a copy with Measurements, not just on the first block but all others especially when you cut the first block 3 more times so spacing can be accurate for a novice like me to try

I have previously commented about how you assemble the different woods is similar to that or a master bladesmith who stack forge hammer and cut various steels (and other.metals ) to create various patterns Your billets are created from wood and are no less intricate or exquisite. This is a piece of art. Wonderful work sir

At 10:50 you’re ripping against the grain. Won’t this bind up against the blade?

Yes, it has to be cut like that and it doesn't bind the sword

Looks like you missed a flip on your last glue up to give you that chainmail affect. Over under over under. If you look up Feldthouse Family Woodworks (who came up with this pattern) Chainmail Weave you’d see how the chainmail all hooks together. He sells the plans for the Chainmail Weave. But anyway nice work…
