I plan on buying a Mazda 3 turbo hatchback next year. One of the main reasons I don't like the CX-30 is that extensive plastic cladding on the lower body. The 3 is more of a perfect fit for me in every way.

Hi Steve, i may join you soon. May I ask what trim you got and the out door price? Also what is your fuel range now on car with full tank ?
@stevepick95273 жыл бұрын
I got the premium package, (without leather seats)... out the door with tax and license included was a little over $32,000. Fuel range is almost 300 miles on a full tank, (combined freeway and city) freeway only would be about 370 miles. I definitely recommend buying it if it’s in your budget!

Yeah, the Mazda 3 definitely looks better. It's one of the best-looking cars on the road, imo. However, the CX-30 has more rear head room, more usable trunk space, better viewing angles (especially out the back), and something very few people point out, a much lighter cabin. The Mazda 3's cabin is VERY dark, with those black pillars and headliner. Having owned 2 prior Mazda 3s, I much prefer the hatch..... but the CX-30 is currently more practical.

Loved the shoutout to TFL! I watched that video yesterday. LOL! I just bought a second from the bottom trim CX-30 here in the US. I would have bought the bottom trim, but wanted the Red. It is a lot of car for the money. All the safety features are nice. In the US it does have the adaptive cruise control to a full stop which I tested from 45 mph. Truthfully, if I could have got a CX-3 in a manual shift, I would have bought one instead.

Hey jimmy im curious what kind of range you got when test driving the Mazda 3 during your time and what kind of gas you were driving on? I’ve currently had my turbo for a couple months now with about 1200kms on it and have only filled it with regular fuel but am only getting around 320km range on a tank. Wondering if this is normal or not. Also most of my driving is city
@JimmyMak3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm during my testing I’m on the throttle quite a bit and I leave the vehicle running during some photo/ video shoots so my economy was quite bad but I was able to achieve close 400km before the light came on. I was told by some that during break-in the vehicle does consume more fuel however I’m not sure if that’s true. Maybe it’s a good time to visit the dealer and ask?

One issue is that mazda does not think any of its buyers are over 5’7” tall. I am 6’ and when adjusting the sear for my comfort and visibility requirements, (cx30) the heads up display is totally out of line of vision and unreadable, even when adjusted as hi as it goes.
