No worries but just want to mention a couple of mistakes I made. Instead of starting in the passenger side it’s best to start with the drivers side and remove the small cover over the speedo first to make trim removal easier. And then other mistake I made was disconnecting the first switch. I was using pliers but probably just needed to push on the tab with a screwdriver or tent peg so you don’t mangle the plastic if that makes sense

I bought i new screen digitizer touch from aliexpress for 13 dollars and that solved my ghost touch and functionality touch

Interesting! How is this not a recall? I have the same issue and dealer wants $500 but I don't know if I'm comfortable taking the dash apart. Sigh. Thanks for your video.

I think there is a recall in the USA but not Australia. That’s poor form from Mazda. I cut my hand once. I should have used better tools. It’s doable. If you’re not comfortable don’t do it

Where did you find the replacement screen ? Do you have a link ?

Where do you live? I’m in Australia. I found this screen in front of me on the dash, a bit to my left. But if you are in America it won’t be there. It will be in front of YOU on the dash, a bit to your RIGHT. Also if you watch the entire video instead of skipping the beginning you will instantly see where the screen is in the car that I recycled. Hope this helps, together we can beat the ghosts if we combine our power!!!

Yes I’m in America. For my car I needed a replacement digitizer with the ribbon cable however I don’t think the sell the one I need here. I’ll have to order a used screen instead of just that digitizer. Mazda doesn’t sell it for the 6’s in America for this generation. Thanks mate !

I'm in Australia too, can I please ask where I can find where to buy the Mazda 6 screen digitizer? I can only find Mazda 3, CX5 and cx9 on AliExpress for a reasonable price and it's killing me!

I grew up ignoring Mazda. I only liked Hondas and Toyotas. But after my GFs Golf broke down too many times she wanted a Mazda because they look like BMWs. Who am I to argue with that. Now we are hooked

@@inzp3ctor I think they are great value. I had a Mazda 323F ZXi with a 2.0L V6 for a while and it sounded great. Was only about £650 as well.

Wow that’s cheap!! We had a 3 then changed to the 6 a couple years later. Just wondering if I want the turbo 4cyl but don’t want to sacrifice the amazing efficiency
