If the door will not open you will have to force the panel off from inside. Peel back actuator cover stick a flat head in and twist around use hand mirror and light eventually you'll hit the magic spot. Pain.... on mine the actuator plastic lever popped out of socket and jammed on lock position. Process is not fun.

Hello, any ideas on how to remove the driver rear door to replace this part? The exterior door handle broke off and the door is stuck closed. It does not open from the inside either.

It would be great if you did not have to remove the exterior door handle. And hopefully the plastic gear is the issue and can be replaced and not the entire assembly.

Gents, I have a CX-5 5 door. The left rear door will NOT open. It appears to unlatch with either handle then will only move about 15 to 20 mm. IDEAS please?
